  3. 'I'd take Carroll to Euro 2016'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 20 April 2016

Watford v West Ham (19:45 BST)

Leicester keeper and BBC Radio 5 live summariser Mark Schwarzer at Upton Park: "If you look at West Ham's stats, they haven't lost at home since last August and Watford have made seven changes. It doesn't look good for Watford.

"West Ham striker Andy Carroll is the closest that comes to Duncan Ferguson. He is a formidable opponent to play against.

"If he was fit I would take him to the Euros. He is compelety different to what England have at the moment. He could wreak havoc with teams at the Euros."

    Liverpool v Everton (20:00 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Former Liverpool defender

"The whole situation at Everton is very strange and it feels like they have lost their way a little bit. I don't understand how they have got themselves in such a mess with the players they have got.

"I also don't know why Toffees manager Roberto Martinez did not field a stronger side for Saturday's draw with Southampton."

    Prediction: 2-1

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (20:00 BST)

Manchester United have never lost to Crystal Palace in the Premier League and a win tonight would keep them well in the hunt for a place in the top four.

Palace are not safe yet, but it would take some effort to go down from here.

Like United - and Everton, and Watford - Palace have one eye on the weekend's Wembley exploits.

  7. 'Our away form has been good'published at 19:27 British Summer Time 20 April 2016

    Liverpool v Everton (20:00 BST)

    Everton

Everton boss Roberto Martinez, speaking to Sky Sports: "There is only one game that matters at the moment and that is tonight. Our away form has been very good this season.

"We are in a period of the season where every player is well managed and have enough energy in their legs to play. Today's line up reflects that. Everyone is in a good condition.

"The significance is huge. This is the derby for our fans and means a lot internally. At the moment, all we want to do is put in a performance that reflects the way we want to play and makes our fans proud of the team."

If Leicester are on the verge of winning the league the Everton have vastly underachieved.

    Paul from Chester

A club like Everton with the players they have should be easily in the top half of the table. Arguably stronger first XI than Stoke & Southampton and similar to that of West Ham. Criticism of Martinez is fully justified in my opinion.

    Miles, Bexleyheath

With realistically no chance of winning the league at the start of the season, surely Louis van Gaal's target was to get top 4? If he manages to get it he shouldn't be sacked, no matter how much I hate watching the football!

It's 0.8 miles across Stanley Park from Goodison to Anfield, for my money one of the shortest away trips in England.

  11. 'Everton seriously under-performing'published at 19:21 British Summer Time 20 April 2016

    Liverpool v Everton (20:00 BST)

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 live

"If Everton lose there will be huge pressure on manager Roberto Martinez. At Liverpool, it is all smiles.

"Everton are seriously under performing. With the talent Martinez has, they should be doing better. He continually says these lads like Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley have tremendous talent but then how can they be mid-table?

"He continually comes out saying they should be challenging for the top four so why aren't they? That is why the manager is under pressure."

  13. Pellegrini to Everton?published at 19:17 British Summer Time 20 April 2016

Martinez does not deserve more time, the only gamble is keeping him rather than replacing him! Go full out to try and get Pellegrini I think. A chance of a cup is great but in 2009 when we beat United in the semis we finished 5th, our form has been relegation style since November.

  15. 'No excuse for not being 100%'published at 19:14 British Summer Time 20 April 2016

    Liverpool v Everton (20:00 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports: "There are so many games there is not really time to feel how it is around the city. I have spoken to a few legends about it, I knew about it in general. I know the game. There is no excuse for not being 100% ready. The good thing about the derby is you know everything about your opponent."

On making nine changes: "It looks like my hobby but it is only because nine games to go and that means we have enough players to challenge in each game and we have to use it. We played the formation we are playing tonight one week ago. We need to be really be prepared for intense games. Today is Everton, Saturday is Newcastle and then there is the Europa League. That is how it is for us.

"Everyone will look for a challenge and hopefully from our side we will the challenge. Maybe it will be a little hectic, I don't know we will see."

LVG has done well bringing the youngsters through the ranks at United this season. Consistency regarding results is his weak point. Would 4th and winning the FA Cup be enough? I'm not so sure.

    Stick or twist?

The average lifespan for a manager in the top flight is just over two years these days - just about long enough to work out how to use the printers and find out the best place to park.

Everton's Roberto Martinez and Manchester United's Louis van Gaal have come under intense scrutiny for most of the season from the media and fans alike.

    Everton

Everton's Gareth Barry will make his 571st Premier League start tonight to equal the record of goalkeeper David James for the most starts.

Would you be surprised to know that Barry has got more assists in the Premier League than Paul Scholes?

No, seriously. He has. 62 assists and 50 goals during his huge career - and 109 yellow cards. A record...
