Liverpool with a free-kick, 20 yards out and pretty much dead central.

Christian Benteke is lining it up...and his shot is into the base of the wall.

And a 6.0 from the Russian judge as well!

Brad Smith launches into a proposterous swallow dive as he goes around Jonas Olsson midway through the West Brom half and picks himself up to find Robert Madley brandishing a fully-deserved yellow.

    West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

Jonathan Leko loses the ball on the edge of the Liverpool box and the visitors spring forward.

Christian Benteke feeds the ball forward towards Sheyi Ojo. The youngster scampers towards the box, but his way is barred by a tackle from Claudio Yacob that took ball, man and everything else.

    No nonsense.

Joe Allen winds up his right boot from fully 35 yards, but he does not get hold of his shot at all.

It trundles well wide and the Welshman runs his hand ruefully through his Pirlo-like locks.

We need a full-pitch view for Liverpool's leveller.

Jordan Ibe took route one to goal after spinning his man on halfway.

The defending today has basically been an assist for both goals.

Two great goals so far in this one.

    First, West Brom's opener.

Jonathan Leko (no.45) drew the attention of the Liverpool defence with a darting run before springing Salomon Rondon with a nice reverse pass.

He just kept running and running.

And the West Brom defence kept backing further and further off.

Jordon Ibe scampered clear of his man on halfway, swayed past Jonas Olsson when a West Brom defender finally stood up to him on the edge of the area and buried a low shot into the bottom corner past Ben Foster.

It is his first Premier League goal.

    West Brom 1-0 Liverpool

    Christian Benteke goes close.

The big Belgian controls the ball with his back to the West Brom goal, 15 yards out. He shuffles and swivels, but his rising effort is wide of the near post.

Ben Foster waved it on its way. He had it covered anyway.

    All about Jonathan Leko.

The 17-year-old winger seizes on a loose ball, motors between Joe Allen and Cameron Brannagan and slips the ball to the unmarked Salomon Rondon.

Rondon holds off Brad Smith as the Australian attempts in vain to get back and goal side and fires a low hard shot past a suspect Adam Bogdan at the near post.

Liverpool hogging possession, but showing no penetration.

Jordon Ibe steps past a defender, but is blocked by a huddle of West Brom players.

Sheyi Ojo is looking lively on the other wing for Liverpool. The visitors are playing with plenty of width.

    West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

All the action down the West Brom right so far.

Liverpool get forward well as Lucas Leiva rolls the ball into empty space behind Craig Dawson and into the path of Brad Smith.

The full-back crosses first time. It is a good ball, low and skimming, but a Baggies boot gets to it before Christian Benteke.

    West Brom 0-0 Liverpool

A nice first touch from West Brom 17-year-old who nicks the ball through the legs of Liverpool defender Brad Smith and wins a free-kick.

Smith has his revenge as the two duel again soon after, forcing Leko down a cul-de-sac.

That could be a good little personal battle.

    Stoke v West Ham (15:00)

West Ham and Liverpool could face a play-off to determine who qualifies for the Europa League.

The Hammers lie sixth in the Premier League before the final round of matches, while Liverpool are eighth.

The Reds also play Sevilla in the Europa League final knowing that a win there would secure a Champions League place.

If they have to qualify for Europe through the league, there is a scenario that has both them and West Ham level on points, goal difference and goals scored.

It's very complicated. But explained here...

There is a banner reading 'Liverpool 1-0 Establishment' held aloft by one of the home fans.

Another commemorating today's show of unity is passed from the West Brom section to the Liverpool one.

West Brom have arranged a pre-match tribute before this afternoon's game following the recent verdicts which found the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy were unlawfully killed.

The club have replaced 96 blue seats in the visiting fans section with the red of Liverpool, each to remain unoccupied and each to carry a name of one of the victims.
