    Marcelino needs to calm his players down. Now Roberto Soldado goes down after getting caught by Dejan Lovren. He grabs his head, falls to the ground and then grabs Lovren's feet, sending him tumbling. No booking though.

    Move over Messi, James Milner is the man with the magic feet tonight. He produces a beautiful bit of footwork to dance his way past his marker. His cross lets him down in the end but that was some nice skill.

    Given the chance, Villarreal do look a threat on the counter. 

    A quick break sees them win a corner. Liverpool deal with it but the visitors pick up the ball again and the dangerous Mario Gaspar is released by Jonathan dos Santos' ball on the right, but his tame effort is easy pickings for Simon Mignolet.
