    FT: Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

An end-to-end first half ended with Barnsley taking the lead on the stroke of half-time as Adam Hammill's shot was deflected into the net by Walsall defender Jason Demetriou.

Sam Winnall then struck twice in two minutes as the hosts surged into a 3-0 lead before the hour mark.

The Saddlers' best chance of the match, with the score at 0-0, was skewed wide by Tom Bradshaw, who will be required to help his side make history as Bescot on Thursday if they're to reach the League One play-off final at Wembley.

No team has ever pulled back a three-goal first-leg deficit to reach a play-off final.

Have they already got one foot into the play-off final at Wembley on 29 May?

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

Barnsley have marshalled the last 20 or minutes of this match without too many alarms.

Walsall have undoubtedly been competitive in this match but haven't fired at all up front.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

It's been a bad day at the office for many of the Walsall players, not least Romaine Sawyers, who once again fails to control the ball and gives away possession.

There are going to be four minutes of added time at Oakwell.

Walsall are still pushing for a late goal. The away side will be looking for their own bit of luck in the final moments of this match.

Is there any way back for the Saddlers on Thursday if they return to Bescot with a three-goal deficit?

It's never happened before in the play-offs.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

There's a slight delay in play as a couple of Barnsley fans decide they would like a quick dash on the pitch.

They don't get very far and are booed loudly by the crowd. Nobody's impressed.

Jordan Cook replaces Walsall midfielder Milan Lalkovic while Barnsley bring on Harry Chapman for Lloyd Isgrove.

Can the visitors pick up a much needed goal in the final five minutes? It's not looking likely at the moment.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

With 15 minutes left of this game the Barnsley players seem to have taken their foot off the gas, perhaps with a thought to Thursday's second leg.

Walsall play the ball forward and Sam Mantom really should do better as he skews his shot high and wide despite being in acres of space in the box.

Another wasted chance for the away side.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

You get the feeling that if Walsall are going to score it's going to be through Milan Lalkovic.

Anthony Forde drives the ball into the box from the right and Lalkovic at full stretch just fails to reach the ball. Any sort of touch and it surely would have been a goal.

Barnsley defender George Williams makes a vital intervention as he comes across to clear Milan Lalkovic's pull back from the edge of the area.

Walsall are pushing hard for a goal.

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

Barnsley take off two-goal hero Sam Winnall as Paul Heckingbottom opts to bring on some fresh legs in Ivan Toney.

Can Toney, who is on loan from Newcastle, add to the hosts' lead?

The fans certainly seem to think so... they've started a conga line in the stands.

How crucial will Winnall's brace prove to be?

    Barnsley 3-0 Walsall

Like much of the first half, Walsall keep the ball in and around the box but fail to muster anything of note.

How much will Tom Bradshaw be regretting his first-half miss now?

Walsall look to attack and Sam Mantom teases a cross into the box which is just headed wide by Tom Bradshaw.

The visitors will be hoping to take a goal back to Bescot on Thursday to keep this tie alive.

Walsall are making their first change with Kieron Morris coming off for Sam Mantom in a straight swap in midfield.

Can Mantom bring about a change in fortunes for Jon Whitney's side?

There is utter delirium inside Oakwell with Barnsley looking set to be heading to Wembley for a second time this season.

If the unfortunate own goal from Jason Demetriou at the end of the first half had completely deflated the away side, then that quick-fire Sam Winnall brace might have done so. Can the Saddlers respond?
