This tie isn't over but Raith Rovers are in the driving seat with that goal from Harry Panayiotou. 

Hibs are sure to give it everything in Saturday's second leg but that could leave them vulnerable at the back and Rovers showed tonight that they are more than up for the fight.

It promises to be a nail-biter.

The BBC Sportsound team are puzzled by Alan Stubbs' criticism of referee Kevin Clancy and his assistants. There weren't many contentious moments in the match.

"The first frustration comes from conceding at a set-piece. We lost concentration when we should have dealt with it. The other frustration comes from not taking the chances we had. 

"The pitch is a leveller, It doesn't suit our style of play but that's not the reason we lost the game. Conrad [Logan] has had one save to make.

"At this stage of the season, you want the best officials and they have got it horribly wrong tonight.

"We know what we need to do on Saturday and we'll look to really take the game to Raith. Our home form is very good, so it makes for a rip-roaring occasion."

Saturday's second leg is a 12:30 kick-off at Easter Road. Hibs fans may be too nervous for a hearty breakfast before that one. One thing is for sure, the Edinburgh side need to improve their finishing if they are to have a chance of turning this round.

"The players dug in and ground out another result. We have a great dressing room full of determined characters. It's just half time and Saturday will be extremely tough because Hibs will throw everything at us."

It's advantage Raith Rovers after the first leg, with the home side riding their luck in the first half before knocking in a goal from a corner. They go to Easter Road on Saturday in great spirits, unbeaten in 12 matches now, with nine wins in that sequence.

Leicester City have been dominating the headlines and it's a man on loan from the Foxes who makes the difference tonight, with Harry Panayiotou grabbing the only goal.

A wee half-chance for Hibs as the ball falls to Liam Henderson in the box but the substitute can only scuff anxiously at the ball. 

Lewis Stevenson, who has had a few woeful crosses tonight, suddenly fires in a peach of a delivery - right down the corridor of uncertainty - but there's not a Hibs player in sight.

Ryan Hardie takes his sweet time trotting off for Rovers, with Mark Stewart coming on for the final few minutes of stoppage time.

Hibs have not really been able to respond since going behind. Raith Rovers are looking very comfortable in these closing stages.

Goalscorer Harry Panayiotou, who came on after 65 minutes, is named the sponsors' man of the match to great cheers from the Rovers fans.
