It is often said that the PFA Scotland manager and player of the year awards come too soon.

Given Alan Stubbs' led Hibs to Scottish Cup victory to end their 114-year wait to lift the trophy again, beating Rangers, would the decision be different if there was a vote today? The prize went to Rangers' Mark Warburton, while the player award went to Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.

    Tough Taiwo

Falkirk add steel to their midfield, with fit-again Tom Taiwo replacing Blair Alston. It means striker Lee Miller is on the bench again after complaining of a tight hamstring before the first leg.

    Magic Magennis?

The big news for Kilmarnock is that striker Josh Magennis returns to the starting line-up after missing the first leg through injury. The Killie talisman is obviously prepared to put at risk his place in the Northern Ireland squad for the Euro 2016 finals should he cause further damage.

Left-back Greg Taylor starts for only the second time, with Mark O'Hara and Rory McKenzie dropping out.

Falkirk lead 1-0 after the first leg on their own patch thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time strike from Will Vaulks.

Peter Houston's side only lost four league games all season as they finished runners-up to Championship winners Rangers and have earned a dogged, never-say-die reputation that was further emphasised by another late winner in their two-leg semi-final win over Hibs.

Last season, despite the predictions of many, Motherwell avoided relegation from the Premiership when they thumped Rangers 6-1 over two legs.

However, Kilmarnock have it all to do if they are to deny the Bairns promotion to the top-flight.

For better or worse, the front and back pages of this morning's newspapers have been dominated by the fallout from the terrible scenes at Hampden after the pitch invasion that followed yesterday's Scottish Cup final victory by Hibernian and Rangers.

But the football season hasn't quite finished and hopefully, come 16.45 BST, we are talking exclusively about football as Kilmarnock host Falkirk in the second leg of the Scottish Premiership play-off final.
