George: You could look at France in two different ways. Either they're struggling to beat the lesser nations and getting fortunate late goals, or, they are showing signs of champions by going until the end...

BBC commentator on BBC Radio 5 live

"Full marks to Albania, what a performance. Not just defensively, they could have taken the lead, but France have put a platform down I think."

David Simpson: No way Griezmann misses out on the first 11 in the third game.

Greg Morter: Harsh on Albania but decent header by Griezmann who should have played from the start.

Lawrence Eghe Egun: Heartbreak for Albenia. Totally deserved a draw.

  9. A Hammer blow for West Ham?published at 22:04 British Summer Time 15 June 2016

    France 2-0 Albania

A group of people you can be fairly certain were not celebrating that second goal were West Ham fans. Another goal, another few million added to his price tag but someone will surely be willing to make the move.

I think we can safely say we are unlikely to see Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba left out of the France starting XI in future...

    France 2-0 Albania

    Neil Lennon
Hibernian manager in Marseille for BBC Radio 5 live

"You have to have sympathy for Albania. After going 1-0 down so late they went for it. Dimitri Payet does what he's so good at. It's an absolute beauty, bent past the keeper."

Johnny Magrinho: Wish I'd gone to France. The atmosphere here in central London is phenomenal. My second team is certainly France. I'm blue!

John Roy: 90th-minute man again! Payet.

Stephen Hook: Very harsh on Albania.

    France 2-0 Albania

Well, where did that come from!

Dull, dull, dull game for 89 minutes and then an explosive five minutes.

Albania coach Giovanni de Biasi sits on his chair in the dugout starting ahead in disbelief. No, we don't quite know what happened there either, Giovanni.

    France 2-0 Albania

    Neil Lennon
Hibernian manager in Marseille for BBC Radio 5 live

"Albania are dead on their feet, they'd given everything. With the amount of pressure that had been coming, it was eventually going to wear them down. It's heartbreaking for them though."

GOAL - France 2-0 Albaniapublished at 90+3 mins

    Dimitri Payet

Albania's previously packed defence is left exposed as they push forward for an equaliser and France hit them on the break to put gloss on the scoreline. It's Dimitri Payet who bags, turning one of the few defenders in the box before launching into the bottom corner.

Albania coach Giovanni de Biasi smacked the arm of his assistant when that goal went in. Fortunately, his assistant's arm is the size of Jersey, so he barely flinches.

Albania had almost done the perfect job on France.

    France 1-0 Albania

    Neil Lennon
Hibernian manager in Marseille for BBC Radio 5 live

"Albania had given so much. The fans can be so proud of them. But the body language of those players was giving it away: the energy levels had just gone.

"France will have to play much better than this."

    France 1-0 Albania

So harsh on Albania, who defended superbly throughout but they let their concentration slip at the crucial moment. They've got five added minutes to somehow find an equaliser.
