So two key players, Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies, will be missing for Wales in the semi-final with Portugal on Wednesday but defender James Chester believes the team can cope.

"Obviously they have started every game here for us so far. I think Aaron has  got the undoubted ability but how much work he puts in maybe gets overlooked and think Ben has been our stand-out defender in the tournament so far.

"They will both obviously be a miss but think the biggest thing we have got in the squad now is strength in depth and players playing at the top level so hopefully it won’t hamper us too much."

But after all that crowd disturbance in the early stages of the tournament, how about the Belgium fans giving a guard of honour, external to their Welsh counterparts after the match last night. Super stuff.

Magnificent celebrations from Wales fans everywhere after that epic victory over the Belgians and you can re-live them here.

I particularly like the moment six seconds into the clip, as the rather disorientated be-wigged Belgium fan is brushed aside in a wave of euphoria.

It seems an eternity ago now but Chris Coleman lost his first four matches in charge of the Wales team, and needed a 2-1 victory over Scotland in October 2012 to avoid becoming the Welsh boss to lose their first five games.

Recalling that time, the 46-year-old said after the Belgium triumph: "Four years ago I was as far away from this as you could imagine. I'm enjoying it, it's great and we deserve it.

"If you work hard enough and you're not afraid to dream then you're not afraid to fail.

"I'm not afraid to fail. Everybody fails. I have had more failures than I've had success."

  7. Perspectivepublished at 11:55

They say there is too much hype these days, but these are the facts for Wales. In their first major finals since the 1958 World Cup they are through to the last four.

Yet as recently as August 2011, Wales fell to their lowest position in the Fifa world rankings - 117th - behind Guatemala, Guyana and Haiti.

  8. Robson-Kanu replaypublished at 11:50 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

It's about time we saw that Robson-Kanu goal again isn't it?

The man himself, who is surely not going to be short of offers for a new club, says of the wonder strike: "I’ve not watched it back yet. I was in the box just trying to make space to get a shot off.

"I had my back to the goal and was presuming they thought I was going to lay it off and I have 'Cruyffed' and put it in the net. It was going to take something like that to break them down."

Retired radio commentator Ron Jones - who reported on five European Championships for the BBC - was the paper reviewer on Radio Wales this morning.

"I was sitting there wondering whether I was dreaming," he said.

"Not only because we won it (well, he is Welsh) but because we played so well. There was no element of luck about it.

"And it wasn't just a battling, backs-to-the-wall performance, we played such wonderful football.

    "It was something very special."

  11. European reactionpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

"Wilmots has to go" is the headline of Belgium's La Derniere Heure, external, and it's a sentiment shared across the nation's press this morning after their shock defeat in Lille, not that Wales supporters would call it a shock.

Het Laatste Nieuws, external announces the "death of the golden generation" and says "after this scandalous elimination, Wimots cannot coach anymore".

The reaction on the continent is rather different, though this seems to encapsulate the situation rather well.

Le Soir's, external headline is "Belgium have talent, Wales have a team."

Meanwhile Het Niewusblad, external calls the match a "missed opportunity," adding "Wales is a B country. We should be able to win against Wales, especially if Gareth Bale is not at his best."

  13. 'Let's just keep it going'published at 11:29 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

Speaking of the fleet-footed Mr Ledley, here are his thoughts: "I have had a few videos of back home, showing older guys crying and it means the world to us what we have achieved and we appreciate their support, the fans have been fantastic, they have behaved so well and it was the same again here.

"There have been remarkable scenes and they need to enjoy it just as much as we are, we are enjoying every minute and I know for a fact that my mates back home are enjoying it, the people here are enjoying it so let’s just keep it going."

  15. 'We can go as far as we want'published at 11:17 British Summer Time 2 July 2016

The main man is in no doubt either, Gareth Bale told BBC Sport: "We know what we are doing, we need to just keep enjoying ourselves and doing what we have been and we can go as far as we want.

"We fought as hard as anyone and covered every blade of grass and we thoroughly deserve to be in the semi-final."

Want to know how Wales beat the Belgians? Here's more from the industrious Neil Taylor...maybe he should apply for the England job...

"We just got hold of the ball, started moving it well. We got a good pitch tonight that was wet after having a bit of rain on it and when it is like that we can move the ball well.

"We started to do that and as we started to edge into the game you could see they were creeping backwards a little bit and we sensed a chance to go for the jugular. We did that."

The inspirational Wales captain Ashley Williams had his left arm in a sling as he left the ground following last night's win.

He was a doubt for the game after suffering a shoulder injury in the 1-0 win over Northern Ireland, but he assured reporters he would be fit to face Portugal in Wednesday's semi-final.

"It's okay, it's fine. I've just got the sling on because it keeps clicking and it's painful, but this just eases it a little bit," he said.

"But it'll be fine I think. I have to give a lot of credit to the medical team because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to play tonight and they've done an unbelievable job.

"It's a lot better than it was after the last game."

  20. 'You can do it without me'published at 10:49

Aaron Ramsey says his team can beat Portugal without him on Wednesday and reach the Euro 2016 final.

"I am sure it will sink in before then that I will not be playing - but I will be right behind my team, cheering them on and kicking every ball. I will be right in the mix of it, so hopefully they can do it."
