Arsenal 2-4 Liverpool
There was a 4-4 draw between these two teams in the Premier League at Anfield in April 2009. What chance a repeat? I would rule out nothing.
Walcott had penalty saved at 0-0
Ramsey & Coutinho both off injured
Mane scores superb individual goal

In the meantime, Arsenal's summer signing Granit Xhaka has come on for his debut, and Philippe Coutinho has pulled up with what looks like a hamstring injury. He has limped off, to be replaced by Emre Can.
Arsenal lost Aaron Ramsey to what looked like a hamstring problem a few minutes ago, and Santi Cazorla is on in his place.
And breathe.
Arsenal 2-4 Liverpool
It's some game, this. Some game indeed. What a second half we're seeing.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Blimey, it's becoming a job to keep up now. Bear with me...
Seconds after Mane scores, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain responds with an individual goal of his own, dancing in from the left before whipping in a shot that deceives Simon Mignolet, who really ought to have saved it.
Sadio Mane
Pinch yourselves, Liverpool fans. This is real. Sadio Mane bursts away down the right, then puts the foot on the accelerator to dash between Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers, before unleashing an unstoppable shot between Petr Cech and the far post. Barely time for Liverpool to celebrate a 4-1 lead, though, before it becomes 4-2...

Yullaw: If Arsenal loses this, expect 4 mediocre signings during the week like that woeful left Brazilian back-I forgot his name

That goal has been coming for the last five minutes. Liverpool have been totally dominant - Arsenal have been chasing shadows. Even when Arsenal went 1-0 up there was no confidence. Arsenal fans are not happy. There are boos around the stadium.

And it should be four immediately. Roberto Firmino ties Arsenal defenders up in knots on the right, with what seems like half a million stepovers, before crossing low for Philippe Coutinho to get away a first-time shot on the spin. Petr Cech gets down brilliantly to save, but Adam Lallana will surly force in the rebound... No. It's wide.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlaimn has replaced Alex Iwobi for Arsenal, who need a lift badly.
Philippe Coutinho
Sensational football from Liverpool. Goodness knows how many passes there were in the build-up, so I'll concentrate on the end of the move. Georginio Wijnaldum feeds the ball wide right to Nathaniel Clyne, and his driven cross is thumped into the net first time by Philippe Coutinho. Arsenal's defence was dragged all over the place. Liverpool look set to score a hatful here.

That was great movement from Liverpool - something we didn't see too much in the first half. The celebration from Jurgen Klopp [he lost his glasses] shows how delighted he is with the goal.
Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool
So what have you got now, Arsenal? Is this the time to bring on Granit Xhaka? The home fans are getting a little grumbly.
Adam Lallana
Maybe they can. It's a lovely goal; Philippe Coutinho plays in Georginio Wijnaldum down the left, and he clips in a ball that Adam Lallana chests down before squeezing a shot between the legs of the advancing Petr Cech. Jurgen Klopp temporarily loses his glasses in the celebration, but he saw everything he needed to.
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
Before today's match, Liverpool had won on one of their last 20 away trips to Arsenal in all competitions (W1 D8 L11). Having ridden their defensive errors to start the second half on level terms, can Jurgen Klopp's team improve on that record? It's a scrappy opening to the second 45 minutes; neither side has really got their foot on the ball yet.
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
No changes at the break, so Granit Xhaka must wait a little longer for his Arsenal debut. He remains on the bench for now.
Here are a couple of EFL results from matches that kicked off at 15:00 BST: QPR have gone top of the Championship (for what it's worth in the second week in August) with a 2-0 victory at Cardiff - Steven Caulker, who had a stint with Liverpool last season, scored the first, and Tjaronn Chery the second.
In League One, Bristol Rovers have beaten Oxford 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium.
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
A couple of Opta stats on that Philippe Coutinho equaliser for you: It's his first Premier League free-kick goal for Liverpool (having joined the club from Inter Milan in January 2013). But of the 29 goals he has scored for the club in all competitions, 13 have come from outside the penalty area. He does like a long-range shot.

Tom Young: Thing of beauty from Coutinho - who's the first player to hug him? Moreno. "Thanks for getting me off the hook," he whispers.
Chris Wright: Where would be Liverpool be if they didn't have the absolute brilliance of Philippe Coutinho?
Robbie Edwards: If there was one man to drag Liverpool out a hole...it's Coutinho.

What a brilliant goal. Right into the top right hand corner. Petr Cech had no chance. I'm not sure it was a free-kick but that was brilliant technique.
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
Agreed, Gary. Incidentally, I would like to make clear, for the avoidance of doubt, that I am not doing this live text commentary in my pants. Trust me, it's for the best.
