You can't question Hull's performance so far. Swansea looked the better team - they are playing better football and creating more chances, but on the counter attack Hull City look dangerous.

Spaniard Fernando Llorente has not found the target yet with any of his efforts but is getting closer.

He leaps to get his head onto Wayne Routledge's cross, but Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic waves it over.

Hull have done all the defending in this match but can break with pace when they clear their lines.

Adama Diomande almost finds team-mate Robert Snodgrass at the back post with a low cross across the box.

Swansea looking dangerous down the right with Modou Barrow.

The Gambian floats a ball to the back post for Wayne Routledge, who attempts an outrageous backheel from around six-yards out, but the winger will be wishing he had not bothered.

    Not the best.

Hull skipper Curtis Davies likes a good tackle and brings down Fernando Llorente on the edge of the area.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is over the free-kick for Swansea, but his ball into the box is headed away by the man who committed the initial crime, Davies.

It has been a fairly lively - if unspectacular - start at the Liberty Stadium, with Swansea dictating possession but Hull baring their teeth with the occasional counter-attack.

Those forays into the hosts’ half seem to worry Swans head coach Francesco Guidolin, who waves his arms wildly whenever his players are forced to retreat and defend.

Ah, finally Lukasz Fabianski has work to do. His bum was getting sore after sitting on that (imaginery) chair for half an hour.

The Poland international gets down low to his left to collect Abel Hernandez cut back, with Adama Diomande sniffing around for any spillages.

Good goalkeeping. Had nothing to do all game but keeps his concentration for when he is called upon.

    Swansea 0-0 Hull

Swansea are starting to take some control of this game.

Hull's David Meyler gives the ball away deep in his own half, but Swansea midfielder Jack Cork strangles his shot wide.

    Nice from Swansea.

Playing some neat football, as you would expect, as Modou Barrow, Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson are involved in some one-touch passing on the edge of the penalty area.

Curtis Davies, who had a tremendous game against Leicester, does well to snuff out the danger by nicking the ball off Iceland international Sigurdsson.

Hull do break though, through Adama Diomande, but the Swansea defence scurry back to clear the danger.

Lukasz Fabianski might as well pull up a chair in the Swansea goal. He has had nothing to do so far.

Modou Barrow is causing plenty of problems with his pace. He jets past Hull full-back Andrew Robertson and plays a ball into the box for Fernando Llorente, but the striker's shot is blocked on the penalty spot.

Robertson is in for a long afternoon, might need to change his boots for rollerskates instead.

You can see why Fernando Llorente enjoys playing up top on his own. The lanky Spaniard has his back to goal and holds off Jake Livermore who is trying to make a challenge from behind.

The ball is laid off to Leroy Fer inside the box, but the Dutchman cannot repeat last weekend's trick and shoots over the crossbar.

  13. CLOSE!published at 16 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Hull

Big, big chance for Adama Diomande, he should be scoring.

The Norwegian striker is found on the edge of the box by an inch-perfect Robert Snodgrass pass which sliced the Swansea defence open.

Diomande turns Kyle Naughton inside-out from around eight-yards out and with the goal gaping, thrashes his shot wide of goal.

At the other end, Swansea striker Fernando Llorente heads wide. The Spaniard has not found his radar yet.

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Hull

Modou Barrow has shown his pace for Swansea from the right and takes on Hull left-back Andrew Robertson.

He makes his way into the box and goes down under the Scot's challenge and he looks at the referee to see if anything is coming, but Stuart Attwell waves the appeals away.

    Would have been soft.

Swansea's club-record signing Borja Baston watches on from the stands. The £15m striker has a thigh injury and is out for a couple of weeks.

Costs the same as Alan Shearer did in signing for Newcastle all those years ago. Swans fans will be hoping he can smash a few in for them when he gets on the pitch.

Meanwhile, the space opens up for centre-back Jordi Amat, who strides forward before cracking a 40-odd yard drive but it's straight into the hands of Edin Jakupovic.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 7 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Hull

The first chance of the match.

Swansea full-back Kyle Naughton plays a cross onto the edge of the area for Wayne Routledge, who cushions the ball down to the oncoming Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Icelander cracks a superb first-time effort which is heading for the roof of the net, but Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic flies across his goal to tip the ball onto the crossbar.

    Fantastic effort, even better save.

Fernandez on Hernandez. Loving the poetry.

Swansea man Federico with a hefty challenge on Hull striker Abel early on but referee Stuart Attywell lets it go without a booking.

A couple of rolls on the ground by the Uruguayan just to let everyone know he was caught.

Swansea’s new owners Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan have taken their seats in the Liberty Stadium directors’ box, directly behind chairman Huw Jenkins.

Jenkins will stay in his role under the terms of July’s takeover, and he seems happy with the change of ownership so far, describing it is a “perfect marriage” in today’s match programme.
