Everton's fans are holding up a large banner in the away end that reads 'RIP Sid Benson' - a tribute to the Everton scout who died on Wednesday, aged 73. Benson is credited with bringing, among many others, Ross Barkley to the club.

West Brom and Everton have new owners, and both could be extremely busy in the days leading up to the closure of the transfer window.

One completed move is Yannick Bolasie, who made his final appearance for Crystal Palace as a substitute against the Baggies last weekend. If Bolasie make his Everton debut from the bench today against the same opponents, he'll surely become the answer to a trivia question.

Ashley Williams - also among the substitutes - could also make a first appearance for Everton, while West Brom will be hoping striker Romelu Lukaku doesn't come on during the game to score against his old club.

It could be a fascinating afternoon as West Brom look to build on their opening day victory while Ronald Koeman aims for his first win as Everton boss.

The biggest shock of the afternoon so far at The Hawthorns came at around 13:55 BST, when the public address system blared out You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You by Sonia, a song I don't think I've heard since it came out in 1989. Is there a secret Stock, Aitken and Waterman fan in charge of the music at West Brom?

Everton manager Ronald Koeman: "It was not a difficult decision to keep the same team because I was happy with our performance against Tottenham and normally these players are in the starting line up.

"Romelu didn’t train for 10 days and has had only two sessions. Bolasie was closer than anyone to starting today but he is also on the bench.

"What you like to have is a strong bench and today we have a strong bench."

  5. 'The new owner will enjoy it today'published at 14:44 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

West Brom head coach Tony Pulis on naming an unchanged side: "The lads played really well last week and they deserved the opportunity to play today.

"I think the new owner will enjoy it today. It will be the first time he’s watched the game live but we’re more concerned about playing well against an Everton side who look as if they’re going to keep the same system.

"It’s our first home game, but it’s going to be tough. If you look at Everton’s bench, it’s a top six bench."

West Brom's new owner Guochuan Lai is at The Hawthorns today to see his team in person for the first time. The Chinese businessman led a takeover of the club that was completed a little over a fortnight ago.

Tony Pulis has stuck with the same West Brom side who started last Saturday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, which means that Saido Berahino continues in attack alongside Salomon Rondon, and centre-half Jonny Evans continues to fill in at left-back.

West Brom XI: Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Evans; Phillips, Fletcher, Yacob, Gardner; Rondon, Berahino.

Everton are also unchanged, meaning that they should stick with the 3-4-2-1 line-up that Ronald Koeman deployed for last week's 1-1 draw against Tottenham. Romelu Lukaku, who returned to training on Tuesday following a heel problem, is on the bench with new signings Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams.

Everton XI: Stekelenburg; Holgate, Jagielka, Funes Mori; McCarthy, Gueye, Barry, Baines; Mirallas, Barkley; Deulofeu.

  8. Lukaku stays, says Koemanpublished at 14:36

The tale of Lukaku's Everton future has taken a few turns too in the 17 months since Mino Raiola became his agent. There has been another twist this morning: Everton manager Ronald Koeman, in his column for Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, writes that Lukaku wants to stay., external

My Dutch is, quite frankly, non-existent, but here's the gist of Koeman's words. If you have a better translation, please get in touch via #bbcfootball:

"For the club and for this group, it is totally awesome that 10 days before the transfer deadline, Romelu Lukaku enters the manager’s office and tells us that he doesn’t want to leave but has decided to stay at Everton."

I'm a little confused because there are still 11 days to the transfer deadline. But I think that's roughly the top and bottom of the situation.

Lukaku, only just fit after a recent injury, begins on the bench this afternoon. Let's bring you the full team news.

Berahino seems to have been on his way out of West Brom ever since Tottenham failed to sign him a year ago. Head coach Tony Pulis, though, will only let him go if he can sign a replacement - and that has not happened, with a £16m move from West Ham's Diafra Sakho falling through earlier this month.

As BBC Sport's Simon Stone reports, Berahino could well stay at The Hawthorns for another season - and he starts today.

Saido Berahino and Romelu Lukaku. Two strikers who, for much of the summer, looked as if they would be leaving their clubs. Now, it looks as if they may stay. There is much talk about their futures as their teams prepare to face each other. Good afternoon.
