    Burnley 2-0 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Liverpool need someone they can aim at in the middle and they haven't had anyone with any height or physique so far. With Origi they have that and although it's a surprise to take Sturridge off he is not fully fit yet,

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Watford 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea bring on £33m striker Michy Batshuayi for Oscar. Antonio Conte is just over 15 minutes from his first defeat in English football.

  4. Postpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Spurs 0-0 Crystal Palace

Moments after Dele Alli comes on for Spurs, he sets up a great chance with a clipped ball over the top which Vincent Janssen should score, but the Dutchman skews his shot wide. Poor.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Watford 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea bring on winger Victor Moses - I'm not even sure I knew he was at the club still - with Pedro coming off.

    Swansea 0-0 Hull

Back at the Liberty, the Swans continue to pressure the Hull defence.

An in-swinging corner is nearly turned in by Hull defender Curtis Davies. Ref Stuart Attwell appeared to be the only one in the ground who thought it was a goal-kick.

    Spurs 0-0 Crystal Palace

Dele Alli comes on for Spurs, replacing fellow attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.

  9. 'Pulis won't be happy'published at 16:25 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    West Brom 1-2 Everton

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Football Focus, BBC Two

"Barry is as surprised as anyone else when the ball comes to him, and he nods it in at the back post. Tony Pulis prides himself on his set-pieces and he will not be happy!"

  10. Postpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Watford 1-0 Chelsea

Chelsea striker Diego Costa perhaps lucky not to be sent off. He was showb a yellow card earlier on and appears to dive on the edge of the box. It could easily have been a second booking.

  11. League One latestpublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

Wes Thomas' goal put Oxford United ahead against Peterborough after just 12 seconds of the second half as they look for their first win in League One after promotion last season. But Posh are now level.

Gary Madine's first of the season has levelled the scores for Bolton against Fleetwood, while Josh Morris' second of the afternoon puts Scunthorpe four up against Gillingham.

Peter Hartley gives Bristol Rovers the lead at Southend and Swindon are leading Port Vale.

  13. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Spurs 0-0 Crystal Palace

Yohan Cabaye might fit better into the French rugby team than the football one with finishing like this. Andros Townsend squares it to his Crystal Palace team-mate, who absolutely drills the ball over the bar from 12 yards out.

  14. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Watford 1-0 Chelsea

Eden Hazard's cross ends up at the feet of Nemanja Matic but the Chelsea holding midfielder drags a shot well wide from outside the box. Lamentable effort.

  15. goal

GOAL - West Brom 1-2 Evertonpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Gareth Barry (60 mins)

He's in his 20th top flight campaign - TWENTY - and might have scored the winning goal for the Toffees.

Gareth Barry, 35, heads in after Mason Holgate's bouncing cross/shot from a corner bounces into the path of the veteran.

That corner came about after Ben Foster had tipped over Ramiro Funes Mori's header.

By the way, Yannick Bolasie has come on for Everton to make his club debut.

GOAL - Watford 1-0 Chelseapublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    Etienne Capoue (55 mins)

Watford lead thanks to an absolute thunderbolt into the top corner.

Etienne Capoue's first Watford goal was last weekend. This is his second. Adlene Guedioura plays in a cross from the right, with Troy Deeney putting off a Chelsea defender in the centre.

The ball breaks to Capoue, who takes a touch and then absolutely blasts it past Thibaut Courtois.

    Watford 0-0 Chelsea

Oscar plays a great ball in from the right, which Diego Costa can't get onto, but Eden Hazard is running towards the back post and blazes his shot wide. He should have taken a touch.
