Just in case you were wondering what was happening over Andre Gray's misconduct charge by the Football Association for homophobic posts on Twitter in 2012, the latest has seen him ask for a personal hearing.

The 25-year-old originally had until Wednesday, 31 August to reply to the FA, but was given an extension until Monday.

No date has yet been set for the hearing.

    Scrappy game so far...

    Peter Swan

It's a bit scrappy so far but good defending by Hull City - they're getting the bodies in the right place at the right time.

    Burnley 0-0 Hull City

Abel Hernandez has a sight at goal from just outside the box and the Hull City striker's left-foot shot is palmed away for a corner by Burnley keeper Tom Heaton. Decent save but one you'd expect him to make.

Amazingly, Hull City can go second if they can win by three or more goals at Turf Moor.

If the Tigers did so, they'd leapfrog Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United, who lost today's early game to derby rivals Manchester City.

  18. 'He's ready to take on the challenge'published at 14:56 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Burnley v Hull City

Burnley lost 3-0 to Chelsea last time out and have since broken their transfer record with the £10.5m signing of Jeff Hendrick from Derby County.

He's on the bench today along with fellow new arrival in striker Patrick Bamford, who has signed on loan from Chelsea.

Hendrick impressed for Republic of Ireland during Euro 2016 and his arrival eclipsed the club's previous club record of £8m to sign fellow midfielder Steven Defour earlier in the month.

"We think he's a good player. He's still young, learning and new to the Premier League, so I think he's ready to take on the challenge," said Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

Hull City have been busy bees since their last game - a narrow 1-0 defeat by Manchester United.

Having not signed a senior player for most of the summer, they brought in six players in the two days before the transfer window closed on 31 August.

Keeper David Marshall, midfielders Ryan Mason, James Weir and Markus Henriksen plus strikers Dieumerci Mbokani and Will Keane were all signed to bolster a squad that needed, well, bolstering.

  20. Happy with your team's squad?published at 14:50 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Burnley v Hull City (15:00 BST)

We asked supporters of Premier League and Scottish Premiership clubs to use BBC Sport's team selector to tell us whether they were satisfied with their squad, via a simple tick or cross for each position.

    The results are in.

Every single Burnley fan who contributed selected a 4-4-2 formation. But they aren't happy with their wingers - 33% on the right and 27% on the left.

Hull's fans are the fourth least happy, but it could have been worse given their lack of choices in the opening games. Right-back is the main concern, just 42% happy.
