    Everton midfielder Gareth Barry will make his 600th Premier League appearance, becoming only the third player to reach that milestone.

    Recent signing Enner Valencia could make his debut, while Ross Barkley's place is under threat after a poor start to the season.

    Middlesbrough pair Cristhian Stuani and Jordan Rhodes are doubts because of groin and knee problems respectively.

    Injured trio James Husband, Fabio da Silva and Grant Leadbitter remain out.

    Deadline-day signing Hal Robson-Kanu could be included in the West Brom squad for the first time.

    Midfielder James Morrison is close to a return after a hamstring problem but the West Ham match may come too soon.

    West Ham skipper Mark Noble is fit despite needing eight stitches in a hand injury sustained last weekend.

    Andy Carroll is running again but remains sidelined, along with Aaron Cresswell, Diafra Sakho, Alvaro Arbeloa and Andre Ayew.

    Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero serves the second game of a three-match domestic ban.

    Ilkay Gundogan will be assessed after returning from a lengthy lay-off to make his debut in midweek, while David Silva is unlikely to be fit.

    Bournemouth have a fully-fit squad.

    Jack Wilshere - a debutant off the bench last weekend - is set to be a substitute again with Eddie Howe reluctant to rush the Arsenal loanee's return to the starting line-up.

    Leicester defender Danny Simpson is fit to face Burnley on Saturday despite suffering a hamstring strain against Liverpool last weekend.

    Jeff Schlupp is also available, while Islam Slimani may start after making his debut in the midweek Champions League win in Bruges.

    Burnley's only absentee is Ashley Barnes, who has yet to appear this season because of a hamstring problem.

    Club record signing Jeff Hendrick could be given a full debut in midfield.

    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could hand Olivier Giroud his first start of the season and recall Granit Xhaka.

    Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Carl Jenkinson all remain sidelined by injuries.

    Kompany, 30, suffered the injury, external against Real Madrid on 4 May.

    Only two players in Premier League history have made over 600 appearances - Ryan Giggs and Frank Lampard.

    Everton's former Aston Villa and Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry, 35, will become the third when he faces Middlesbrough at Goodison Park later.

    Toffees youngster Tom Davies, who came on in their 3-0 win at Sunderland on Monday, had not been born when Barry made his Premier League debut for Villa in May 1998.

    "It's an amazing achievement," said Everton boss Ronald Koeman. "Gareth is still important for us because he is a clever player - and those types of players will always be respected."

    Our resident Mystic Meg has been looking into his crystal football once again. That's right, BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson has been predicting the scores of all of this weekend's Premier League matches.

    Lawro's opponent this week is Radio 1Xtra DJ Charlie Sloth. 

    Sloth is a Liverpool fan, and told BBC Sport: "I am a massive Red, and there is only one Red that matters."

    That's a nice way to talk about Liverpool legend Lawro isn't it? What?! Sloth is talking about Steven Gerrard? Unbelievable.

    Lawro got off to a good start after predicting a 2-0 win for Liverpool against Chelsea.

    Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told midfielder Paul Pogba to forget about his world-record £89m transfer fee.

    Pogba, 23, has not scored or claimed an assist in four games since his return to United from Juventus last month. 

    The Portuguese said: "The world-record player is always a question but I want Paul to forget that."

    Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez formerly of Everton pulled on his boots again when as manager of Wigan in 2012 he appeared in a charity game against the amateurs of Golborne Sports Veterans.

    The former Real Zaragoza and Wigan midfielder put in a classy second half display and scored in a 5-2 victory for the Wigan Athletic legends.

    Edinson Cavani scored four first-half goals as champions Paris St-Germain ended a three-game winless run in all competitions to beat Caen 6-0 in Ligue 1 on Friday evening.

    The Uruguayan striker, who was replaced by Jese at half-time, opened the scoring from Maxwell's cross before converting a penalty.

    He then turned home another Maxwell cross and guided a fourth goal past Remy Vercoutre before being withdrawn.

    Lucas Moura and Jean-Kevin Augustin smashed home second-half efforts.

    Cavani had been criticised for missing a host of chances in Tuesday's 1-1 Champions League draw with Arsenal.
