The teams last met in season 2013-14 when Rangers were on their way to the League One title. The Glasgow side won three of the encounters while the 'other Blues' earned a Boxing Day draw at Ibrox thanks to a last-minute goal from Jamie Longworth.

Stranraer's cup record against Rangers is bleak, with three defeats over the years, including 8-0 and 5-0 thrashings in 1989 and 1992.

    Rangers v Stranraer (19:45)

"Obviously, we can go into the game with no pressure and nothing to lose," Stranraer boss Brian Reid told his club website.

"It is a great occasion for the players. I've never managed a team at Ibrox, so, it is a great experience for myself and for the club."

Reid, now 46, played for Rangers in the early 1990s but a serious knee injury limited him to just a handful of appearances in five years.

His managerial career started at Ayr United, with adventures in the Philippines and Nuneaton before his arrival at Stair Park in May last year.
