Take Jordan Henderson, Eric Dier or Wayne Rooney off. For all Raheem Sterling is willing I don't see why so many players are so deep. 

England should be taking the game to Slovakia, who apart from on the break are nothing to fear.

Robert Lewandowski has already scored two hat-tricks this season for Bayern Munich and he's just fired Poland 2-0 ahead from the penalty spot away to Kazakhstan after being sent sprawling. Poland are very much in control.

I can't wait for half-time, to be honest. The last 10 minutes have not been good enough from England's point of view. 

Adam Lallana and Harry Kane cannot get on the ball and Wayne Rooney is too deep. The two centre-halves have seen the most of the ball, and that can't happen. 

I'm getting angry up here... England cannot hold onto the ball... Big Sam has to earn his corn at half-time, I tell you. England have not been good and if anything are getting worse.

It's raining shots now! Harry Kane shoots with his left foot from 25 yards and it loops over the top.

Ian Funnell: New manager, same old England. Poor passing and a slow tempo. Need to quicken it up to break teams like this down

It's wide, but that is close to the opener. Harry Kane's cutback falls for Raheem Sterling, who takes a touch to get the ball out of his feet but flashes a shot about two feet wide of the far post.

Lithuania are top of England's group after scoring twice in two minutes against Slovenia in Vilnius. Fedor Cernych gets the first and Vykintas Slivka doubles the lead. 

Jordan Henderson should be booked for a late lunge in midfield, not sure how he got away with that one. Still no signs of a shot on goal, or even anyone considering one. 

That is close though! Danny Rose loses the ball in a dangerous area, the cross is flashed across and Dusan Svento lunges in but can't quite reach it!
