Chelsea legend Alexandre Pato has just put Villarreal on level terms against FC Zurich - it's 1-1 in Spain.

And Bertrand Traore, who is on loan from the Blues, has just equalised for Ajax in their game at Panathinaikos.

    Southampton 2-0 Sparta Prague

Charlie Austin is the first Southampton player to score a brace in the Uefa Cup/Europa League since Stephen Moran in September 1981.

Sadly for me, Moran's double was against Limerick, my hometown club, in a 3-0 win.

Shane Long almost joins the goals party. Cuco Martina, who is having a great game, plays the Irishman in with a brilliant pass but he can't quite poke it home on the stretch.

    Charlie Austin

Seconds ago, Charlie Austin headed home a Cuco Martina cross but was ruled offside.

And now he has a goal in exactly the same circumstance - powering home Martina's cross from the right with his head.

Two goals on his European debut and over an hour to get a hat-trick.

Charlie Austin has the ball in the net but he was offside. Just. It was a good diving header to turn home Cuco Martina's cross though.

A couple of you pointing out when I suggested Dusan Tadic might not have celebrated with Charlie Austin if he'd missed, that there would have been nothing to celebrate.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes guys!

    Poor old Pogba

As a Northampton Town fan I'm hoping that Pogba is in Man Utd starting 11 when we play them in the EFL Cup next week. Our centre midfield pair will eat him for breakfast

James Ward-Prowse is pretty handy with his set-pieces and his latest is almost turned home by Charlie Austin. The striker stretches out a leg to turn the free-kick towards goal but goalkeeper Tomas Koubek saves it.

Sparta Prague keeper Tomas Koubek has to come flying out of his box to deal with a threat but he heads to safety. It's been a lively start. A lot better to watch than Feyenoord v Manchester United was.

Southampton do well to get a dangerous Vyacheslav Karavayev cross from the right out for a corner. Sparta had men waiting to turn it home.

And from the corner, Lukas Vacha has a strange sidefooted 30-yard volley held by Fraser Forster.

Almost 2-0 to Southampton as Virgil van Dijk heads James Ward-Prowse's corner over from six yards out.

They are lucky to be ahead, but they are dominating and Sparta could be out of this game before it barely starts.

  14. 'We go back to a normal team'published at 20:14 British Summer Time 15 September 2016

    Feyenoord 1-0 Man Utd

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho speaking to BT Sport: "Of course I'm unhappy. We lose the game in a moment we didn't deserve to.

"The second half, the game was even. We were always in control. We were trying to win, they were trying not to lose. It is double unlucky because it was a clear offside.

"The second half was better than the first.

"In the Europa League, everyone wants to play Man United, everyone wants to fight until their limits, which they did."

Asked if players that came in failed to take their chance to impress, he said: "I don't want to go in that direction. I don't want to personalise. Obviously, some played better than others. It was the first game for some.

"We go back to a normal team without so many changes [against Watford]."

    Southampton 1-0 Sparta Prague

The referee had initially awarded a corner after Costa Nhamoinesu's sliding tackle on Charlie Austin, which was right on the edge of the box, before changing his mind and giving a penalty. A pretty dramatic 90 seconds to so.

Charlie Austin and Dusan Tadic appear to fight over who will take the penalty. Austin wins and fires Southampton into the lead.

Tadic comes across to celebrate with the striker though. Might have been different had he missed...

It's a penalty to Southampton and this is very harsh. Costa Nhamoinesu goes to tackle Charlie Austin and the ball hits his arm but there was nothing he could do about it.
