Tonny Vilhena
Feyenoord lead and they probably deserve it - United are taken apart on the counter. Nicolai Jorgensen, probably offside, runs down the right and squares it to Tonny Vilhena - who has the hair of a lion - and he fires home.

Mic Medeska: If I buy the most expensive car in the world, shouldn't it be driving perfect on day one? No excuse for Pogba, he's been horrid.
Ben Walton: Pogba is undoubtedly class, but Mourinho is the wrong manager for him. Needs a Simeone, possibly a Pep?

Jeet Padaruth: One corner and no bookings tells you a lot about United's performance at the 70th min mark. Not good enough. No passion. Very sad.
Anthony Muindi: Is it a surprise Man Utd have some of Louis van Gaal's favourites back on the pitch and suddenly it is back to slow, boring football?

Hmm, what do you think?
Is Paul Pogba just Veron adjusted for inflation?

Stijn Wuytens
AZ Alkmaar go in front on 60 minutes but there is immediate concern for scorer Stijn Wuytens, who is injured in a collision with Dundalk keeper Gary Rogers. It was a brave header and the medics spend several minutes treating the AZ midfielder before he is carried off on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace.
Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd
Karim El Ahmadi drags a shot wide for Feyenoord, who have had most of the half-chances. I'm struggling to remember a real opportunity I thought might go in during the 57 minutes so far.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Memphis Depay and Ashley Young are warming up for United.

Robin Smit: This game really does have a LVG feel to it.
Scott Hunt: This game is crying out for Michael Carrick. Someone to get the ball moving crisply for Man Utd. Too tight and ponderous.
Johnny Magrinho: It's Feyenoord. Man Utd don't need to play at break-neck pace to beat this side. I do feel some people expect way too much.
AZ Alkmaar 0-0 Dundalk
It's not been a great Thursday for Fred Friday. The AZ Alkmaar striker, who had a goal disallowed, comes off for Wout Weghorst.

A close call for the Dundalk defence early in the second half as Sean Gannon makes a desperate but vital clearance under pressure in the goalmouth to deny Fred Friday who would surely have scored.
