James Hoste: New season, new problem. No control and terrible passing from Manchester United. Poor stuff.

Eteyen Adegoke: United looking very pedestrian so far, no one supporting Rashford, passes going astray. Jose needs to liven it up.

AADZ: Man Utd players look lethargic again. These players not taking their chances.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Feyenoord are moving the ball around the pitch well and create another opportunity. Terence Kongolo, who has been impressive down the left, plays the ball across the box and Jens Toornstra runs onto it but smashes his shot well wide.

Bold: Nice touch by Man Utd playing in blue shirts...that'll make Jose feel at home.

Feyenoord are having a spell of corners at the moment. Can Manchester United's defence deal with them? Chris Smalling heads the latest one out.

We asked what you thought about top-level football on the TV seven days a week....

Worst thing about 7 days a week? My son has cricket awards evening tomorrow so I can't watch the only game that matters!! V disappointed. Should be no Friday football.

    Mark

Just don't go to the cricket awards. Simple.

    NB I don't have children...

    AZ Alkmaar 0-0 Dundalk

Dundalk have a chance to go in front in the 34th minute as Daryl Horgan charges through but keeper Sergio Rochet does well to make the block.

Will the Irish side regret the first-half opportunities they have failed to take? They've certainly enjoyed a very decent opening to the match.

Sham Gallagher: Paul Pogba is heavily overrated. He's a great player but he just doesn't work in the Man Utd system, not world class yet either.

Joe Wedgwood: Abysmal first half hour for Paul Pogba. His ego is too big. Keeps ball too long, wastes ball on hopeless 60 yard passes.

Egege: Going by the value of the Man Utd players on the pitch, I expected them to be 3-0 up. It appears Paul Pogba left his boots in Turin.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Just over half an hour gone at De Kuip and Manchester United are certainly not controlling the game. It's been pretty even so far.

The other teams in this group are Fenerbahce and Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk. They are drawing 0-0 in Turkey.

    AZ Alkmaar 0-0 Dundalk

Full-back Dane Massey, with just one goal this season, advances to have a crack at a second - but the former Bray Wanderers man fires off target.

Richard Cochrane: A sign of the the times? Wayne Rooney is dropped, and no calls to lynch Jose Mourinho.

I think the correct term is 'rested', Richard.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Anthony Martial has Manchester United's first proper chance. The Frenchman controls Matteo Darmian's cross from the right, but then fires his 20-yard shot wide.

Marcus Rashford was involved in the move before it came to right-back Darmian - another bright performance from the England striker.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Feyenoord's Jan-Arie van der Heijden caught Juan Mata with a late challenge, the referee lets play go on and comes back to book him a minute or so later.

Mata looked in pain but he's continuing.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Terence Kongolo pings in a great cross from the left which Steven Berghuis throws himself at but can't quite get his head onto. He barged into Marcos Rojo in doing so, and a free-kick is given so it wouldn't have counted anyway.

A decent start for the hosts.

Ihtisham Hussain: It looks like Man United have forgotten their blues shorts and socks. They look off with white shorts.

Ethan Carter IV: It's better to not play and let people think you're a not a good player rather than play and remove all doubt - Marcos Rojo.

Christophe Talbotski: Jose technically starting his defence of the Europa/Uefa Cup. Almost as long as the wait for Tyson Fury's first defence...

    AZ Alkmaar 0-0 Dundalk

An anxious moment at the back for Dundalk as Alireza Jahanbakhsh makes another threatening run but Andy Boyle makes a fine blocking challenge. With 20 minutes gone, Dundalk can be pleased with how it's gone so far.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Paul Pogba and Juan Mata stand over a free-kick, about 25 yards out, and Pogba is the man to take it. His shot is easily held by Brad Jones, the former Liverpool substitute keeper.

Then Marcus Rashford nutmegs a defender but doesn't really get anywhere with it.

    Feyenoord 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, one of only three players to start the derby and this game, has a dead leg after getting a whack in a fair challenge by Terence Kongolo. He's getting treatment but now limps back on.

It's actually the hosts who are having more chances and David de Gea saves a Tonny Vilhena effort from distance.

    AZ Alkmaar 0-0 Dundalk

Another chance for David McMillan but Dundalk's leading scorer doesn't really get hold of the shot and keeper Sergio Rochet is able to save comfortably. Still, promising for the League of Ireland champions and leaders.

Dave W: Presume Matteo Darmian is in the shop window tonight - Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a much better full back & should be playing long term.

Harry: Jose is an innovator. Zlatan off the bench isn't too shabby.

LeagueHub: Don't believe Marcos Rojo is even Premier League quality, let alone Manchester United.
