Had he connected properly, it could have been a spectacular finish into the top corner.

The build-up is nicely done by Astra, but their delivery in the final third is poor. The radar on their crossing off and the West Ham goalkeeper and defence have not had too much to worry about.

Not sure how, but Astra do knock the ball around well on this cow field of a pitch. Some neat intricate play comes to nothing in the end as a cross from the right is poor and lone front man Daniel Niculae is unable to get to it.

Angelo Ogbonna and the much-wanted Reece Oxford is West Ham's centre-back pairing today.

Forward Enner Valencia stretches out his knee on the sideline and hobbles gingerly back on. It does not look too serious and he is OK to continue for now.
