Ahmed Musa, full of confidence, running towards goal, he tumbles to the floor and the referee deems Joe Ledley brought the winger down illegally. Another free-kick for Leicester, 40 yards or so from goal. Danny Drinkwater dinks the ball towards Islam Slimani but the striker is outmuscled and it comes to nothing. 

A beaut of a cross from Danny Simpson curls away from Palace defender Damien Delaney and towards Islam Slimani, whose header is inches wide. 

At the other end of the pitch, Christian Benteke also goes close with a header. 

Joel Ward clips Shinji Okazaki, earning Leicester a free-kick. Riyad Mahrez with a deep free-kick towards the six-yard box... Steve Mandanda opts to punch, which gives possession back to the hosts. Leicester camped in the Palace half. 

Ahmed Musa appears from the tunnel laughing and why not, he's scored his first goal for his new club. Can Leicester build on their first half or will Palace fight back? Let's find out. 

For possession there wasn't much separating the teams but Leicester did boss the half in terms of territory.

A minute of added time. The first half has belonged to Leicester, though Palace had a chance with a Christian Benteke strike which hit the crossbar. 

Palace with a free-kick... Yohan Cabaye floats the ball in from 40 yards or so, captain Damien Delaney makes contact but his header is wide. Kasper Schmeichel can watch it fly by without a worry in the world.

Riyad Mahrez at it again. This time he cuts in on the edge of the box, aims for the top corner, the ball crashes into Shinji Okazaki and the deflection is just a fraction wide. 

Shinji Okazaki heads across goal, Islam Slimani - outnumbered by defenders - can't get enough air on his leap... The ball finds Riyad Mahrez on the right flank, but superb defending by Wilfried Zaha means the winger has no space and loses possession. 

Martin Kelly the time he needs to nick the ball and switch play to Ahmed Musa on the left... 

The hosts retaining possession, Mahrez ever-present... he's now on the left, attempts to beat two players but loses the ball and Palace counter-attack, quickly giving the ball to Christian Benteke and if it were not for Robert Huth's outstretched leg the former Liverpool striker would have been clear on goal.

A corner for Leicester. Islam Slimani makes contact with Christian Fuchs' corner but heads wide. The striker's radar not working but at least he's getting half-chances. 

Riyad Mahrez bursts into life, beating Martin Kelly on his outside - what a sight - the winger dashes to the byline, cuts the ball back and it is cleared off the back post. Had a Leicester player been in the box then it could've been a simple tap in. 

Shinji Okazaki with a chipped cross out wide to Ahmed Musa who returns the ball into the box for Islam Slimani, but the striker heads wide. That was Leicester's best chance since the opening few minutes.  

Riyad Mahrez has seen little of the ball, which will worry Claudio Ranieri. Wilfried Zaha, on the other hand, has looked lively and is combining well with Christian Benteke. The triumvirate of Zaha, Benteke and Yohan Cabaye giving Palace their verve.

The men in yellow monopolising possession, spraying the ball nicely around the pitch. Leicester are now being pinned back in their own half. 

Possession is now fairly even and it's Palace who have attacked more frequently in the last five minutes or so. Crystal Palace win a corner - a reason for Leicester to worry? No. Yohan Cabaye attempts to find Christian Benteke, but Wes Morgan nicks the ball from the striker. 

Palace on the up. Martin Kelly finds Christian Benteke with a beautiful inswinging cross from the left, the striker beats Kasper Schmeichel with a powerful header but the crossbar stands in his way of the opener. Very, very close.
