Another promising position for the hosts, which again comes to nothing. This time Kyle Naughton is the guilty man, overcooking a cross from the right wing that sails harmlessly off the field.

  2. YELLOW CARD - Sigurdsson (Swansea)published at 49 mins

Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson has to be careful now as he is booked for a foul on Roberto Pereyra.

It is bad touches on both sides. Modou Barrow gets free of his marker using his pace, but a heavy touch takes him closer to the deadball line than he would've liked. As a result his low sliding cross is comfortably dealt with at the near post by Heurelho Gomes.

Promising from Watford. Valon Behrami sends in a short pass to Troy Deeney, who with his back to goal, flicks a ball around the corner to Odion Ighalo. But, not for the first time today, Ighalo's first touch lets him down and it comes to nothing.

    Pretty uninspiring at the moment.

Not much to shout about at the 45-minute mark, but a draw is a fair outcome so far with neither side imposing themselves on the match.

There has been little for either goalkeeper to do and chances have been at a premium, with only one effort apiece on target.

Still, both teams do not keep many clean sheets. At the moment they both are. Goalless at the break.

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

A lucky break for Swansea. A free-kick from 30 yards out is nudged by Troy Deeney to Younes Kaboul and his shot takes a huge deflection off the Swansea wall. The ball loops up, and with Fabianski over the other side of the goal, he can only watch as the ball goes narrowly wide.

Watford's Etienne Capoue then picks up a booking, the first of the game, for literally picking up Wayne Routledge.

Lukasz Fabianski does his best to liven up things with an awful clearance that can only find Troy Deeney 30 yards in front of him. But the ball zips off the Watford captain's chest and a very relieved Fabianski can breathe again.

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

It is a pleasant day in south Wales with fans on one side of the stadium having to shield their eyes from the sun.

Unfortunately, the action on the pitch can be described as luke-warm at best. Don't worry though. It will get better. Trust me.

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

A long throw from Watford causes panic in the Swansea defence before the ball ends at the feet of Etienne Capoue. He goes for the spectacular well outside the penalty area, but, off balance, he gets it all wrong blasting horribly wide.

As Dafydd says, it is all a bit flat at the moment.

The Liberty Stadium has fallen into a strange silence in the last few minutes, with the pace of the game fizzling out a little after a frantic start.

Watford fans are doing their best to raise the volume but this game needs a moment of magic or controversy - something - to bring it to life.

Should do better. Etienne Capoue, Watford's top goalscorer this season with four goals so far, gets too much juice on the free-kick and the ball sails a few yards over the top. A good chance. Wasted.

  16. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

A free-kick for Watford in a dangerous position. Etienne Capoue felled on the corner of the penalty area. Mike van der Hoorn is the man who gives the free-kick away. Danger for Swansea.

  17. GOOD SAVE!published at 23 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Swansea nearly capitalise on a mistake from Watford's Valon Behrami, who gives the ball away 30 yards from his own goal. The ball finds its way to Gylfi Sigurdsson, who curls an effort at goal from 22 yards, which is acrobatically held by a diving Heurelho Gomes.

It may well be one for the cameras, but a save nevertheless. We remain at 0-0.

  18. Where are all the goals?published at 21 mins

    Swansea 0-0 Watford

Twenty minutes in, in the 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League and we've not had one goal in six matches.

A deep cross aiming for Wayne Routledge is well held by Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes to make sure that league-wide stalemate continues.

A half chance for the hosts as Gylfi Sigurdsson sends Wayne Routledge scuttling down the left wing. He fizzes a low cross across the face of the goal, but team-mate Borja Baston is too far off the pace and a promising opportunity comes to nothing.
