    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

We've just seen a replay of Josh King's effort hitting the crossbar and Boro keeper Victor Valdes actually got a slight touch to the shot. Great save by the Spaniard.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 28 mins

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth midfielder Jack Wilshere flights a lovely pass into the run of Josh King and he chests the ball down only for his right-footed volley to come back off the crossbar. Top play by the Cherries.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth defender Adam Smith gets the dubious honour of getting the first booking of the game after he blocks a Stewart Downing cross with his arm.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Boro have a penalty appeal turned down by referee Stuart Attwell. Adama Traore makes a storming run and looks like he's caught by Charlie Daniels. But there's a delay to Traore going down and that seems to have influenced the ref's decision, even though it seems a strong shout for a spot-kick.

Off the line. Bournemouth have a corner and Jack Wilshere swings it into the run of Josh King, whose shot is cleared off the line by Adam Clayton.

Adam Smith is one of those guys barely anyone picked in their Fantasy Football team to start the campaign but now he's a popular choice.

He has one goal, a couple of assists and two clean sheets on his record, enough to see him in 12.8% of teams in the Premier League's official Fantasy Football game.

That makes him the 10th most popular defender in the game. If he earned points for being fouled he'd be an even better pick it seems.

Not much to write home about at the moment with a wild George Friend shot for Boro the only effort of note.

Bournemouth are my team of the season so far.

They have maintained the way they play, Eddie Howe doesn’t veer away from what he believes is the right way to play the game.

I think the draw last weekend was a good result for Spurs, which shows where Bournemouth are.

Jermaine Jenas was speaking on Friday's BBC Radio 5 live football social.

Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka: "We don't want to arrive to games obsessed that we have to win.

"We have to keep improving. After Tottenham we have improved.

"The way we managed the game at Arsenal was really good and we have to keep improving."

  15. Howe wants more of the samepublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Middlesbrough v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "It's been a good week on the training pitch. The lads are enjoying themselves and enjoying their football right now.

"Last week's performance [against Tottenham] was excellent in many ways and we're looking for more of the same this week.

"I still feel we've got a long way to go, but I'd be saying that no matter what we're delivering because I think when you're in my position, you have to look to improve in all areas of the team."

These are the two youngest managers in the Premier League, however Aitor Karanka and Eddie Howe both held their own against title contenders last weekend.

Against Tottenham, Bournemouth extended their current run to just one defeat in seven league games.

I was commentating at the Emirates where Middlesbrough were unlucky not to have beaten Arsenal. Gaston Ramirez hit the post, Alvaro Negredo was denied by a brilliant last-gasp tackle by Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi was fortunate not to be sent off.

Middlesbrough have not dropped inside the relegation zone yet this season, and will be desperate for their first win in eight league games to keep it that way.

    Middlesbrough v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)

Bournemouth are the visitors to the Riverside today as Middlesbrough try and build on last week's impressive 0-0 draw with Arsenal to start moving on up the table.

A good result would be the perfect present as Boro boss Aitor Karanka celebrates his 150th game in charge.

But the visitors are on a rich run of form with just one defeat in their last seven games.

Let's get straight into it with the team news...
