Sometimes you turn round to your keeper and say, "any danger of you making a save?"

But there's no way any keeper, not even two keepers would save that.

It's a beautiful strike by Aguero.

It came from a series of mistakes on West Brom's 18-yard box.

In the end it came to Sergio Aguero, he shifted it onto his right foot and just lamped it into the that top corner. I'd be surprised if Ben Foster even saw it.

But West Brom had three chances to clear that one then.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

What a goal that would have been.

It is just like the brochure that sold Jack Wilshere on a loan move to Bournemouth as the England midfielder picks out Josh King with a lovely scooped throughball.

King controls on his chest and flicks a volley past the advancing Victor Valdes.

But the crossbar comes the rescue for Boro.

    Sergio Aguero (27 mins)

That is stunning, simply stunning. The ball ricochets around about 30 yards from the West Brom goal. Again Darren Fletcher is caught on his heels and his heavy touch is seized upon by Sergio Aguero. He gets the ball out of his feet and just lashes a strike into the top corner.

Ben Foster is hunched over, head in the grass contemplating the missile which just flew past him.

What a strike. One for Match of the Day to salivate over tonight. Manchester City... crisis... what crisis?

Hull's away kit is, erm, different.

What colour would you call that? Violet? Mauve? Savanna sunset?

    I'm getting Harchester United vibes.

Watford still very much on top.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:27 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    West Brom 0-1 Man City

Darren Fletcher is caught in possession deep in his own half and that spells problems, big problems.

Sergio Aguero robs him, Ilkay Gundogan picks things up and uses Aguero's run to open up space so he can feed Nolito. He's in but has to shoot quickly as Ben Foster rushes out... it's over the keeper and needs to be blocked on the line.

I wouldn't be happy if [Rooney] was happy.

He handled everything with Gareth Southgate very well, but where is this Rooney of old? He's almost too mature for his own good now.

He's almost too nice now. At the end of your career you make a decision about how you're going to bow out and I don't think he's ready to do that yet.

Let's see some of that anger, that boiling point is when he's at his best.

    Juan Mata is the puppet-master.

He swaps passes with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, dummies at adding a three to the one-two and then drills a low shot towards the near post.

Tom Heaton gets down sharply to block it, but all the good stuff is coming through Mata for United.

  10. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Tottenham 0-0 Leicester

    Tottenham v LeicesterImage source, .

Tottenham and Leicester are involved in a tight affair. A lot of little fouls are disrupting play frequently. Dele Alli goes down in the box and wants a penalty. Nothing doing. We will file that in the 'seen them given' drawer as Christian Fuchs clearly did not mean to bump into the midfielder's back but did.

You always feel when Aguero gets in that position at the very least he hits the target.

City were playing at full pace there which completely unhinged West Brom. Three or four passes and they were through.

  12. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

Adama Traore is up to his tricks - good and bad.

The Middlesbrough winger skips by Charlie Daniels in the box, but goes down in a heap about three strides later.

Stuart Attwell is not sold on that. He only raises his arms to tell Traore to get off the deck.

GOAL - West Brom 0-1 Man Citypublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Sergio Aguero (19 mins)

Sergio Aguero celebratesImage source, Getty Images

The first goal of the afternoon in the Premier League, I did say they were knocking on the door.

It's simple stuff. A Tony Pulis defence cut to pieces as Ilkay Gundogan advances and slips a ball through to Sergio Aguero. It's on his right foot, a narrow angle and he drives the ball low through Ben Foster before peeling off to celebrate. His first goal in seven games.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:19 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    West Brom 0-0 Man City

Manchester City suddenly knocking on the door in what is now a fairly decent game. Raheem Sterling volleys a dropping ball low and it takes a Ben Foster save and from the corner John Stones is close when the ball drops to his feet.

    The ball is over-rated anyway.

Hull are in the bottom three, they could do with getting the ball sometime soon. Still goalless though at Vicarage Road.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    West Brom 0-0 Man City

    Nolito, you naughty boy.

The Spaniard leans his head into Craig Dawson after the Baggies defender commits a foul. Dawson gets a yellow but Nolito is silly, tapping his head in there with the referee close. Sergio Aguero gives his team-mate a ticking off. Utter stupidity. Nolito of course was sent off for the same offence earlier in the season. It's a yellow here.

I did mention the amount of gel he wears. Poor old Dawson will be trying to wash that off for weeks.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Bournemouth

England interim boss Gareth Southgate is maxing out his Football Association expenses.

He has taken the trip back to his old stomping ground for the day.

Who might he be looking at? Boro centre-back Ben Gibson might be the man most under the microscope.

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

The pocket of Burnley fans in one corner of Old Trafford are making plenty of noise despite their team giving them little to shout about so far - it has been pretty much all Manchester United in terms of possession and chances so far.

Before kick-off, Clarets keeper Tom Heaton had already made more saves than any other Premier League goalkeeper this season - and you get the feeling he could be strengthening that statistic this afternoon. He has made two stops in the first 15 minutes, both routine, from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata.
