Away from the EFL, it's a busy night in the Champions League.

Premier League champions Leicester are on course to make it three wins out of three in Group G - Riyad Mahrez has given them a first-half lead against FC Copenhagen.

In Germany, it's goalless at the break between Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham.

There is no shortage of goals at the Bernabeu however - Real Madrid are 3-1 up against Legia Warsaw, former Spurs man Gareth Bale with the first of those.

A comfortable evening so far for Norwich, who lead 2-0 at Fulham with two first-half penalties from Graham Dorrans.

Alex Neil's side will be three points clear at the top of the Championship if things stay the same.

  3. goal

GOAL: Reading 0-1 Aston Villapublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Jonathan Kodjia

Not for the first time this season, Aston Villa have a lead. The question is - can they hold on to it?

Albert Adomah is the architect, bursting into the left-hand side of the area before pulling it back to Jonathan Kodjia, whose shot from the edge of the box takes a big deflection in its way into the net.

  4. Even half at Oakwellpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Barnsley 0-0 Newcastle

No goals in the first half at Oakwell where Newcastle started the stronger only for Barnsley to battle their way back into the game, with chances at both ends.

"It's been an even half and Barnsley deserve to be level, although Newcastle have looked good on the counterattack," says BBC Radio Sheffield's Adam Oxley.

  5. Scunthorpe two downpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Oldham 2-0 Scunthorpe

Oh dear, it's gone from bad to worse in the space of a couple of minutes for League One table-toppers Scunthorpe.

The Iron are now 2-0 down against Oldham - Lee Erwin putting the Latics further in front in first-half stoppage time.

  6. Gallagher at the doublepublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Blackburn 2-0 Nottingham Forest

It's not been the happiest of seasons for Blackburn so far but things are looking up for Rovers this evening as Sam Gallagher taps in his second of the night from Corry Evans' unselfish square ball.

And Birmingham are in control against Rotherham as Jacques Maghoma strides purposely forward and fires home for the edge of the box to make it 3-1.

    Oldham 1-0 Scunthorpe

Hmm, we could have a surprise on our hands at the SportsDirect.com Park.

Oldham, in 22nd, have gone in front against League One leaders Scunthorpe through Freddie Ladapo's 18-yard strike into the bottom corner.

Graham Alexander's men have only lost once all season.

Meanwhile, Coventry could be climbing off the bottom. Marvin Sordell has put the Sky Blues 2-0 up against Oxford.

I'm assuming there's not at awful lot going on at Reading.

    Birmingham 2-1 Rotherham

Rotherham were only level at St Andrew's for four minutes before Birmingham hit the front again.

The Millers can only partially clear a Birmingham attack and when David Cotterill swings a cross back into the box, Lukas Jutkiewicz is there at the far post to nod in.

  11. goal

Graham Dorrans sticks away his second penalty of the match and leaders Norwich lead 2-0 at Fulham.

Leeds 1-0 Wigan, Birmingham 1-1 Rotherham

    Chris WoodImage source, PA

A couple of goals to tell you about.

Chris Wood takes down Hadi Sacko's right-wing cross down on his chest and volleys emphatically into the net from eight yards to give Leeds the lead against Wigan.

That should have put a smile on Leeds owner Massimo Cellino's face.

Meanwhile, Rotherham are level at Birmingham through Danny Ward's neat finish from 18 yards following a patient build-up.

  14. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Ipswich 1-0 Burton

What a let off for Ipswich!

Keeper Bartosz Bialkowski can only parry a long-range Burton effort straight to Lloyd Dyer, who sidefoots wastefully wide from 12 yards.

It was a clear opening to equalise.

  15. League One updatepublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

That's more like it - the goals are flying in in League One now.

After six straight wins, including four clean sheets in a row, Rochdale have gone behind at Swindon - 20-year-old Darnell Furlong with the goal.

MK Dons have doubled their advantage against Bristol Rovers through George Williams and Cody McDonald has put Gillingham in front against Walsall.

Out-of-form Bury are also ahead at Gigg Lane - Neil Danns putting David Flitcroft's 1-0 up from the penalty spot.

Elsewhere bottom side Coventry have taken the lead against Oxford, Ben Stevenson with the goal, and Charlton are in front at Port Vale through Fredrik Ulvestad.

And the answer is... Chris Woods was the Norwich keeper the last time they kept a clean sheet and won at Craven Cottage back in January 1986.

The Canaries currently remain on course to end 30 years without a win at Fulham tonight as they still lead through Graham Dorrans' penalty.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:10 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

    Derby 0-0 Brentford

Tom Ince has the Derby fans momentarily off their seats as his dipping volley from the edge of the box flies narrowly over the bar.

Super technique, though, and real quality in the strike.

Duncan Bullard: Chris Woods was Norwich keeper last time we win at Craven cottage. Drinkell scored the winner. I was there!!

    Barnsley 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle dominated possession in the early stages at Oakwell, but Barnsley have worked their way into the game.

They've registered the first attempt on goal too, with Conor Hourihane's effort flying just wide.

  20. League One updatepublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 18 October 2016

Not many goals in League One so far - just three to be precise.

Peterborough have taken the lead at home against Northampton through Shaquile Coulthirst and Dean Bowditch has just put MK Dons 1-0 up against Bristol Rovers.

Bolton are still in front at Millwall thanks to that early Sammy Ameobi goal, but the other nine games are still goalless.
