    Leicester 1-1 West Brom

You could have slept through the first half and seen more action. Now, you can't take your eyes of it. At the back, West Brom are suddenly shakier than a washing machine. Riyad Mahrez, meanwhile, has taken a blow to the hooter. Incidentally, he's wearing short sleeves and gloves. That looks gets some bad press. You can have warm arms and cold hands.

    Islam Slimani (55 mins)

Once on life support, this game has been given a shot by the defibrillator. A goal at each end in the space of three minutes, both headers from lovely crosses. This time it's made in Algeria (sorry) as Riyad Mahrez finds Islam Slimani, who may or my not be offside. Either way, Leicester are level.

    James Morrison (52 mins)

Like a diamond on a stinking pile of rubbish, this is a lovely goal. Matt Phillips gets the ball on the right, whips in a teasing, curling cross, with James Morrison meeting with his head and nestling the ball into the net. The Baggies could be set for a first win since September.

West Brom corner, Wes Morgan doing some wrestling in his own box. In a list of Premier League players I'd least like to wrestle, Morgan would be at the top. Who would I most like to wrestle? Santi Cazorla. He's only little. Corner comes to nothing.

    Southampton

Southampton defender Maya Yoshida: "It is difficult to accept because we had much better quality. First half we had more chances and we couldn't score another goal.

"We rotate the players a lot and every player is fit. We need to keep winning to continue the motivation.

The players reappear, including a ready-to-go Jamie Vardy (he's been nominated for the Ballon D'or, you know). He's on for Shinji Okazaki.

  7. 'Massive three points'published at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2016

    Hull 2-1 Southampton

    Hull City

Hull City captain Michael Dawson: "That is a massive three points going into the international break. It means we can enjoy it now.

"We've been on a run of games where we have struggled but we have character and you have seen that today.

"That commitment and togetherness is what we need. We have got to keep showing that fighting spirit. The run we have been on, we knew had to stop it. You keep fighting and thankfully we have stopped it."

Southampton manager Claude Puel, speaking to Match of the Day: "We lacked concentration. We lost the rhythm of the game. It is important for the future that we learn from this situation.

"After a European game it is difficult to keep the same concentration. It is a good lesson for the future.

"We know all the teams are difficult to play and to play every three days is difficult. We have to learn this and keep the same concentration every game."

    Hull 2-1 Southampton

    Hull City

Hull City manager Mike Phelan, speaking to Match of the Day: "I'm really pleased for my players. We lost two players early in the game to what look like long injuries. The players are ecstatic. I thought we caused our own problems in the first half giving the penalty away and not getting the ball quick enough.

"The players were a credit. Our keeper David Marshall has had a hard time of late but he was magnificent today. Robert Snodgrass had the most believable swollen ankle at one point which disappeared overnight. He showed great character.

"Now that we have got three or four injuries, the international break has come at a good time for us. We will enjoy the next few days and start again."

There is frustration between the Leicester players, we have never seen them having a go at each other.

West Brom will be the happier of the two sides, Leicester need to offer more and when will we see Jamie Vardy?

The sprinklers are on during the break at the KP and there's a bloke out there giving the pitch a good forking. It's about the most entertaining thing to happen so far.

I think Tony Pulis will be the happier of the two managers, his defence has been very good and they are winning the second ball.

Thank goodness for that. Get back to the dressing rooms and don't bother coming out if you can't do any better.

Nearly HT at the KP. It will be blessed relief. If it stays like this in the second half, we might have to watch Countryfile instead.

    Liverpool 6-1 Watford

    Watford

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri:  "It has been a lesson for the future. This game has taught me many things, like the 2-0 defeat by Burnley. We will get better for next time.

"Unfortunately if we lose physically against Liverpool it means that we come under pressure tactically. We are not sure yet how serious the injury is to Heurelho Gomes is at the moment."

Still on the subdued side in the East Midlands. Even the home crowd aren't as rowdy as usual. Leicester, after some early pressure, are on top, but the final ball isn't there. Islam Slimani tries some trickery, but is crowded out. At the moment, Tony Pulis is calling the tune. A conductor in a baseball cap.

    Liverpool 6-1 Watford

    Liverpool

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson speaking to Sky Sports: "It is good. The most important thing is the three points but the performance from start to finish was at a high level and I thought in the final third we were outstanding. It was a little disappointing to concede a goal, though.

On comparisons between this Liverpool team and the one that finished second in 2013-14 season: "I don’t like comparing, the past is the past. This is a very good team with good players but you don’t win anything for being top in November. I know it is boring to hear but we are taking each game as it comes and keeping the momentum going. We are working hard as a group and the players that are not playing are pushing those that are. That is very important."

Not exactly a classic at the KP right now. Almost as if we've got a touch of Sunday goal fatigue. I would say that it looks set for a 0-0, but that would spark onion bag action and leave me looking silly.
