    Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth

Olivier Giroud is warming up, without knocking a single strand of his well-groomed hair out of place of course. Could he provide the punch Arsenal need up front?

    Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth

Arsenal are on the front foot, as they were at the start of the first half. Bournemouth are digging in, though, seeing off a number of balls into the box. Alexis Sanchez remains the most dangerous man on the pitch but he is being frustrated.

Early chance in the second half for Arsenal as Theo Walcott wins a free-kick. Mesut Ozuil swings the ball into the box but it skips past everyone and also the back post for a goal-kick.

Henock Belete Asfaw: How much are we missing Cazorla? I cannot believe Bournemouth midfield players outplayed ours.

Belo tweets: When we wanted Giroud on the bench Wenger played him - now he benches him.

Räbin: We are at it again. Even this early in the season, this is the must win game for Arsenal.

It was a really good performance after conceding. That goal was a mistake but the lads got on with it.

When you concede a goal from a mistake, it hurts a lot more. But let's not dwell on the goal.

Since then, they have got their passing game going. They've given as good as they've got so far.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+3 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth

The Gunners rushed out of the blocks and took the lead, and also struck the bar late on, but Bournemouth fully deserve to be on level terms. Great game so far between two teams who sure know how to pass a football.

Oh, what an effort. Alexis Sanchez is found in the box by Mesut Ozil. The forward is on a difficult angle but has the ability to strike a beast of a shot that hits flush on the bar and flies away to safety. I reckon that goalframe will be rattling through the entirety of the break.

Arsenal are finishing the half on the front foot. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tries a shot from range but it is blocked by Josh King.

Not one for Theo Walcott scrapbook. The winger dummies to buy himself a yard on the edge of the box but slices his shot way wide of goal. No quite Geoff Thomas against France in 1992 (Google it kids) but bad enough.

No way through for Theo. Walcott weaves his way through a couple of tackles and tries to squeeze his shot through from a tight angle but there are too many Bournemouth bodies in the way and the effort is blocked. There are shouits for a penalty - presumably for handball - but there is no chance of that.

Huge ironic cheers greet the awarding of an Arsenal free-kick. Mike Jones is not winning any friends round these parts.

Bournemouth look the more threatening at the moment and they have had seven shots compared to Arsenal's five so far...

    Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth

Alexis Sanchez shows great feet to keep the ball under control in the box but his shot is wild and flies over the bar. I can't see this ending 1-1.

It's pleasing to see Nathan Ake keep his place in the team for Bournemouth.

He is showing great speed down that wing and when you are keeping up with Theo Walcott, you have got some pace!

Arsenal are being forced to play like an away side here, looking to hit Bournemouth on the break. Elneny does well to intercept a pass out by the Cherries but his return shot is a few yards over the bar.

The fans at the Emirates are used to seeing good possession football. They are not so used to seeing it from the away side, though. Bournemouth are shifting the ball around really well. In the last 10 minutes the away side have had 65% of the possession.

Another big chance for Bournemouth. Lovely build-up sees the ball flicked in to the path of Brad Smith in the box but his low shot is saved at the near post by Petr Cech.

Tell you what, Bournemouth are the better side here. They are not over-awed at all.
