It wasn't a good transfer window for Spurs in the summer. They could have got a better option than Vincent Janssen. They half played it safe and relied on youth. Moussa Sissoko doesn’t suit Spurs at all.

There's some sort of lights show going on at Stamford Bridge as both sets of players line up in the tunnel. Either that or someone's messing around with the light switches. Anyway...here comes the teams.

  7. 'We have to be brave'published at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2016

    Chelsea v Tottenham (17:30 GMT)

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino: "We have to be brave and take our opportunities. We know we're playing against the team that is most in form in the Premier League. Chelsea have great players and a great manager in Antonio Conte and it will be tough but we believe. We are ready to compete."

Chelsea look very solid. When David Luiz came in I couldn't believe it. The formation change has been genius for them. When they play three at the back it allows Luiz to flourish.

  9. 'Spurs easier to contain'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2016

That game against Chelsea in May, Spurs will feel that was the day they lost control. Getting over the line to win the Premier League is not always about talent. Sometimes you need to be mentally strong.

They are very thin in terms of the number of players who are playing with a 50% fitness level.

Christian Eriksen has been a disappointment for me this season. Last season Dele Alli was always the one who was breaking the lines and getting past Harry Kane. He is not fully fit and is coming back from injury. Harry is also coming back from injury. As a result teams are finding Tottenham much easier to contain.

No wonder Tottenham dislike Stamford Bridge so much. They have not won on any of their last 29 visits to the venue.

  11. Can Chelsea unseat Spurs?published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 November 2016

    Chelsea v Tottenham (17:30 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Spurs arrive at Stamford Bridge with the last unbeaten league record - but run into a Chelsea side on a red hot run of form after five straight Premier League wins without conceding a goal.

Chelsea can return to the top with a win while Spurs need to ease the pain of Champions League elimination after defeat in Monaco.

There might be an extra bit of spice because it was here last season, amid some fairly tasty scenes, that Spurs' title bid was ended with a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea are unchanged for a sixth successive Premier League game.

John Terry is missing from the squad because of a muscular injury but Willian returns to the Blues bench.

Chelsea XI: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso, Pedro, Costa, Hazard.

Tottenham make three changes to the side that lost at Monaco in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Spurs have to remodel their defence because of Danny Rose's suspension and Jan Vertonghen comes in at left-back, with Kyle Walker returning at right-back.

Eric Dier and Kevin Wimmer pair up again in the middle. In midfield, Christian Eriksen comes in for Harry Winks, who drops to the bench.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Wimmer, Wanyama, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Kane.

Swansea score twice in stoppage time to beat Crystal Palace 5-4, Leicester score with virtually the last kick against Middlesbrough.

It's been a cracking day in the Premier League already.

What drama awaits at Stamford Bridge as Spurs look to make up for their Champions League elimination?
