It’s been too many draws and not enough wins for Tottenham. Spurs were very impressive for the first half hour against Chelsea last week before defensive mistakes cost them.

Nonetheless, there’s a feel good factor about the place, not least because of the new stadium, which is coming on apace. There’s a great buzz about Spurs in the years ahead but it is still just one win in ten. The fans will not be happy if they can’t beat Swansea today.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "Against Chelsea we lost but we recovered the feeling that we can play well.

"This week has been perfect because we could spend time together and train hard. We held a lot of meetings and the answer from the players was fantastic."

Swansea manager Bob Bradley: "Last week was positive, but a stretch of good performances and results changes the conversation in a better way. We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. But it is a real opportunity to go there, play our football.

"We have reminded the players of some of the things we will be up against, but what is more important is who we are, how we play and our mentality. We must never let the opponent take away from our confidence in our game."

There are exciting times ahead for Tottenham with a new stadium being built, and Spurs are working to establish a youngish team with a long future.

I'm also really excited to see Swansea after their sensational win last week against Crystal Palace.

Great news for Spurs, with Harry Kane signing a new contract. Last week's result against Palace was excellent for Swansea, but really you'd expect Tottenham to beat them this afternoon, especially if Spurs have aspirations of finishing in the top four.

For the first time since August, Spurs have had a full week to prepare for a fixture - a well-timed window because, aside from new contracts for Harry Kane and Jan Vertonghen, the club's fans are far from happy.

The lame end to last season's brilliant campaign - followed by their early Champions League elimination - has left some of Tottenham's faithful in unforgiving mood.

However, Swansea have a terrible record at White Hart Lane. Their only victory in 21 attempts came in a League Cup replay in 1978 (current assistant boss Alan Curtis was one of their scorers).

Swansea may finally have registered their first win under Bob Bradley; but if Spurs lose this one then the lines to 606 will be white hot.

Swansea ended their long winless run against Palace last time out, but they were obviously still all over the place at the back.

So this seems to be the ideal game for Tottenham, who need a win to find their feet again.

    Prediction: 2-0

Tottenham make just the one change to the side that lost 2-1 to Chelsea last weekend - their first Premier League defeat of the season.

Danny Rose is back from suspension and replaces Kevin Wimmer at left-back.

Tottenham XI: Lloris; Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Wanyama; Eriksen, Dele, Son; Kane.

Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Carter-Vickers, Winks, Sissoko, Onomah, Nkoudou.

Swansea make two changes to the side that secured a second win of the league season - and the first under Bob Bradley - with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Crystal Palace last Saturday.

Mike van der Hoorn comes in at centre-back for Federico Fernandez, who has a broken toe. Wayne Routledge loses his place on the wing to Jefferson Montero. Leon Britton returns from a calf injury to make the bench.

Swansea XI: Fabianski, Naughton, Van der Hoorn, Amat, Taylor, Cork, Fulton, Fer, Barrow, Sigurdsson, Montero.

Subs: Mawson, Britton, Llorente, Borja Baston, Nordfeldt, Routledge, Rangel.

I can't make any promises, but that's how it worked out for Swansea last weekend at home to Crystal Palace.

Can Bob Bradley's side follow it up at White Hart Lane?

Or will Spurs get their season back on track after a first defeat of the league campaign?
