Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
Should do better. The ball sits up nicely for Harry Maguire to strike outside the Palace penalty area. But the radar is well off range and the ball zooms well over the bar.

Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
It has been better in the last five minutes from Hull with an attack down the right wing, but Palace defender Damien Delaney hooks the ball away at the near post to clear the danger.

Robert Snodgrass gets himself a yellow card, for tugging back Christian Benteke. It looked a soft one, but the Hull man will need to be careful from now on.
Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
First chance of the day for Hull, and Palace boss Alan Pardew will be furious as his side were carved open through the middle of their defence.
A simple ball through the middle from Jake Livermore looks to put Adama Diomande through. However, Wayne Hennessey is quick off his line to close down the danger.
Diomande tries to chip it past the Palace keeper, but the ball goes for a corner and that comes to nothing.

The cameras pan round the ground and there are huge empty spaces at the KCOM Stadium, with the locals not to impressed by their side's recent performances.
The supporters that did make it today will have seen the hosts under pressure in the majority of the opening 15 minutes, but it is still 0-0 and there's nothing like a win to make the fans come back in their droves.
Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
Another opening for Palace, and again it comes from an Andros Townsend cross on the left wing. James McArthur meets it at the near post, but under pressure from Hull defender Michael Dawson, can only direct his effort off target.
Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
It has been all Crystal Palace in the opening 10 minutes.
After Wilfried Zaha's jinking run and shot was well saved by David Marshall, the Hull goalkeeper is again called into action, this time making a routine save to deny Jason Puncheon. Not much to lift the Hull spirits so far.

So close to an early goal for the visitors.
Wilfried Zaha picks the ball up on the right wing and a jinking run at pace takes him past three Hull players and creates space in the penalty area.
His well-hit low shot is on target but David Marshall in the Hull goal does well to produce a fingertip save and push it wide for a corner, which comes to nothing.
Hull City 0-0 Crystal Palace
An early half-chance for Christian Benteke after Palace break down the left wing. Andros Townsend's cross finds Benteke, but the centre forward, who scored twice last week against Southampton, mistimes his jump and the header lacks any pace.
At the other end, Jake Livermore shoots well, well over the bar.
There is a minute's applause in memory of former Hull player Brian Bulless, who died aged 83 earlier this week.
He played more than 300 times for the club between 1952 and 1964.

The players are out on the pitch, and after a bit of delay, Mike Phelan jogs down the tunnel to join them. We are nearly ready to go.

I was at Hull's defeat at Middlesbrough on Monday and they offered very little in attack.
Adama Diomande did not get very much support or many chances up front, which is a real worry for the Tigers.
Crystal Palace got an excellent win against Southampton last time out to end their six-game losing streak.
It was quite apt that Eagles striker Christian Benteke got two of their goals, because he had been criticised for his defensive work in previous weeks. That's the difference between these two teams - Palace look a threat going forward, while Hull don't.
Prediction: Hull City 0-2 Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew: "A win is gold dust in this division at the moment. Our game at Hull could define the first half of our season - we've got two very difficult fixtures after [at home to Manchester United and Chelsea].
"The consistency of performance is what you're always searching for.
"If our players put in a performance like they did against Southampton, with the concentration, the effort and running power, then Hull are going to find it very difficult to beat us."

Victory over Palace could lift Hull clear of the relegation zone for the first time in seven weeks, a fact that Tigers boss Mike Phelan believes would provide a psychological boost for his squad.
He says: "It's a big thing - to be out of the bottom three.
"It gives you breathing space and the opportunity to progress on. We've had occasions in the past to be able to do that and we haven't taken them.
"We're all well aware that opportunities come along and you have to improve and take them. We haven't done that; hopefully that will change."

A Christmas cracker riddle: What used to be Sunderland's, but is now Hull's?
I'll give you David Meyler and Ahmed Elmohamady, but the answer I was looking for is the label of 'doomed' by those who fancy themselves as Nostradamus*., external
Palace were threatening to borrow it too, but last week's win over Southampton has lightened the millstone for Alan Pardew ahead of this milestone - his 300th Premier League game as a manager.
It's his first at Hull since going head to head too literally with the aforementioned Meyler in 2014.
With some beasts of games to see out the year after this, it's also huge for both sides.

They are talking about highly-rated 18-year-old midfielder Michael Phillips. Will we get to see him in action later on?

Two changes for struggling Hull City from the side that lost 1-0 at Middlesbrough on Monday as Tom Huddlestone and Harry Maguire replace Ryan Mason and Marcus Henriksen.
Shaun Maloney is among the substitutes after being out since mid-October with a back injury.
Alan Pardew only makes one change from the Crystal Palace side that won 3-0 against Southampton last week as Martin Kelly comes in to replace James Tomkins at the back.
Yohan Cabaye, who missed the game against Saints through suspension, is only on the bench.
