The atmosphere is already turning sour inside the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea's fans have only seen their team win twice under manager Bob Bradley, and their grumblings suggest they fear this match could already be slipping from their grasp.

West Ham have seized on that sense of anxiety, and the visitors seem very comfortable at the moment.

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

A free-kick to Swansea in a good position but West Ham don't have the same aerial achilles heel and are easily able to deal with the delivery.

  3. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

Swansea have almost given up on contesting with Andy Carroll for headers - the big man up top able to bring it down in plenty of space.

The Hammers work it towards Kouyate but he's challenged before he can get a shot away and has fallen awkwardly.

The midfielder spent a while on the floor but is back to his feet now.

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

Swansea failed to contain the aerial threats of Salomon Rondon and Alvaro Negredo during their recent defeats at West Brom and Middlesbrough - so they were expected to struggle against Andy Carroll today.

The striker was barely challenged as he headed the ball across goal, but that was a feeble attempt from Lukasz Fabianski to smother Cheikhou Kouyate's flick.

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

Payet senses blood against this meek Swansea defence - the French maestro runs at them and fires off a shot that Fabianski is gratefully behind.

  6. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

That was Andre Ayew's first goal for the Hammers and it has come against his former club.

They've just shown another replay - you could maybe forgive Swansea for Carroll winning a header at the back post but Kouyate gets goal side of his man.

Even then he barely manages to flick it goalwards and the real howler is from Fabianski, presenting it straight to Ayew.

  7. CLOSE!published at 19 mins

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

West Ham know exactly what to do know - Swansea look abject whenever the ball is crossed in.

Dimitri Payet curls in another quality ball that Ayew flicks on and Michail Antonio can't quite get there at the back post to steer in a second goal.

    Andre Ayew

Oh Swansea really can't afford to spurn chances when they defend like this.

Andy Carroll does what he does best and gets his head on a ball into the box to Cheikhou Kouyaté but there should've been no danger...

...only for keeper Lukasz Fabianski to flap at it and parry it right into the path of Andre Ayew who will never score an easier goal.

    Swansea 0-0 West Ham

The be-gloved Borja Baston curls a left-foot shot wide from the edge of the area.

A great chance but he's ended up sending it well wide.

Gylfi Sigurdsson was completely free to his left and the better option. Not sure Swansea can afford to spurn those chances.

  10. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Swansea 0-0 West Ham

Few boos for former Swansea star Andre Ayew as he gets his first touch in West Ham colours today.

Hammers misplacing plenty of passes early on.

Swansea City striker Borja Baston is wearing gloves with a short-sleeved shirt.

That shouldn't be allowed, should it?

All a bit tentative so far, couple of early fouls for either side. Not much else.

  17. Bit of historypublished at 14:57

Swansea v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

So Swansea second from bottom and in the mire but their recent record against West Ham is actually pretty decent - unbeaten in their last three games.

They've never beaten West Ham on Boxing Day though - in fairness this is only the third meeting between these two clubs on this date. A draw and a win for the Hammers is that (somewhat meaningless) statistical record so far.

Back in the present, Swansea can move one point behind Crystal Palace after their 1-1 draw with Watford - you can read the report here...

  18. Glut or drought?published at 14:52

Swansea v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

Be careful what you wish for and all but I wouldn't mind a nine-goal thriller today.

That's largely because the 0-0 draw between these sides just over a year ago at the Liberty was one of the worst Premier League games I've ever seen.

The Swans' 4-1 victory in May was more entertaining though and you'd reckon on a few more goals today.

    I've jinxed it now though, haven't I?

  19. Carroll primed for 'porous' defencepublished at 14:50

Swansea v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

    John Roder
    Match of the Day commentator

"The last time I was at the Liberty for Match of the Day was the 5-4 win for Swansea over Crystal Palace, a match that can be described many ways, but is probably best summed up as 'bonkers'.

"A repeat of a nine-goal thriller is probably not on the cards, but West Ham have taken seven points from their last three matches; a significant improvement after a poor run.

"Swansea's defence is porous and they've not coped with Salomon Rondon and Alvaro Negredo in their last two matches. West Ham's Andy Carroll will surely be eagerly awaiting the trip to South Wales."

  20. RB Hammers?published at 14:45

Swansea v West Ham (15:00 GMT)

Slightly strange story regarding West Ham doing the rounds today - there had been rumours of a possible takeover by Red Bull.

Hammers owners David Sullivan and David Gold are not looking for any additional investment, BBC Sport understands.

And Red Bull have also dismissed any link - they had reportedly been considering a £200m offer, external for the Premier League club.
