  1. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Brighton 3-0 QPR

Brighton substitute Jamie Murphy has a dig at goal now, cutting in from the left flank and unleashing a right-footed shot.

That one is easy for Alex Smithies though.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 74 mins

    Brighton 3-0 QPR

Albion continue to press forward, with a commanding lead and a man advantage.

Sam Baldock misses his kick when found in the area,

The ball breaks to Dale Stephens just outside the box, but Alex Smithies parries his effort away from danger.

  3. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Brighton 3-0 QPR

This might be a question of 'how many?' for Brighton as QPR are looking a bit ragged now.

Brighton are bringing players off the bench who are looking to impress, as Tomer Hemed replaces Glenn Murray in a straight swap up front.

    Anthony Knockaert

Brighton have their third after rather simple build-up.

Albion work the ball to the right-hand side and Anthony Knockaert brings it into the box, shoots at goal and the ball goes under Alex Smithies and into the net.

Knockaert points to the sky and then runs over to the bench to get a picture of his late father Patrick. He holds the picture up to the stands, and then gives it a few kisses.

A poignant moment for the Frenchman.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 68 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

Albion make their first switch, as Jamie Murphy replaces Solly March on the wing.

That's March's first start since last December.

  6. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

Brighton centre-back Lewis Dunk goes down in the Albion area after a clash with Jamie Mackie, but he is fine to continue.

Albion boss Chris Hughton looks like he is ready to make a change.

  7. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

Brighton worry the QPR defence again as Sam Baldock charges down a clearance from keeper Alex Smithies.

Anthonky Knockaert challenges James Perch for the ball near the penalty spot, but Knockaert handles the ball. A let-off for the visitors there.

  8. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

You'd expect Brighton to see this match out now, 2-0 up at home against 10 men.

If they do, the Seagulls will move to the top of the Championship - and go eight points clear of third-placed Reading.

Sam Baldock releases Anthony Knockaert, but the Frenchman is flagged offside.

At the other end, Albion keeper David Stockdale comes to gather a deep cross aimed towards Idrissa Sylla.

  9. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

Brighton try a clever free-kick routine from the resulting free-kick, but the ball goes out of play.

Looking at the replays of the Nedum Onuoha sending-off, it looks a bit harsh as it was just a clash of bodies. I'm sure QPR boss Ian Holloway will have a few words to say about that post-match.

In the meantime, forward Jamie Mackie has come on for the visitors in the place of Ariel Borysiuk.

  10. RED CARD (Onuoha)published at 56 mins

    Brighton 2-0 QPR

It goes from bad to worse for QPR.

Oliver Norwood threads a ball forward and Sam Baldock lets the ball run past him and just about gets goalside of Nedum Onuoha.

The Rangers centre-back makes contact with Baldock, who goes down.

Referee Keith Stroud goes to his pocket and draws out a red card. QPR will have to play over half an hour with 10 men.

Glenn Murray makes no mistake from the spot in front of the North Stand, putting the ball to Alex Smithies' right hand side.

The QPR keeper didn't even dive.

Murray has his 15th goal of the season, and Brighton are in control.

  13. PENALTY TO BRIGHTONpublished at 52 mins

    Brighton 1-0 QPR

Brighton get a chance to score their second after Massimo Luongo slides in on Dale Stephens.

Referee Keith Stroud points straight to the spot. That was a pretty clear foul.

  14. CLOSE!published at 50 mins

    Brighton 1-0 QPR

Solly March comes close to adding a second and only the positioning of QPR keeper Alex Smithies denies him.

March gathers a ball from Anthony Knockaert, steps inside James Perch and shoots.

However, it is right at Smithies and the ball cannons back off his chest.

  15. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Brighton 1-0 QPR

Anthony Knockaert has another effort from the free-kick.

This one spirals high over the wall, but over the bar as well. Similar to his other shot before the break, but slightly further away from goal.

  16. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Brighton 1-0 QPR

Solly March lights up the start of the second half, running past James Perch and into the QPR box.

No-one was ready for that ball in and it goes behind for a corner.

Brighton can't make the most of that delivery either but then Anthony Knockaert wins a free-kick in a central position just outside the box.

  17. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Brighton 1-0 QPR

Idrissa Sylla gets stuck right in after the break, catching Shane Duffy during an aerial challenge. Nothing untoward in that though.

Both sides are unchanged at the break.

Having lost their last five games, QPR's players looked understandably downcast after conceding the opening goal after 11 minutes.

However the west London side responded well and carved out a few chances, with Idrissa Sylla impressing up front.

Ian Holloway will have had an opportunity to re-energise his side at the break. Can they make a fast start to the second period?

We're almost ready to get started again at the Amex.

While I pause for breath - and I enjoy a turkey sandwich - we've another chance to reflect on yesterday's EFL action.

If you missed Jermaine Beckford's unwanted Christmas card and Adebayo Akinfenwa's banter, then they are both included in our five things you may have missed from Boxing Day.
