    QPR 0-1 Wolves

Ex-England defender Matt Upson on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "Wolves had a nice piece of possession, relaxed on the ball and passed it around, it was good one-two, a good pull-back and a great finish from Edwards.

"Wolves just need to control possession and they will create chances. The first time they've done that they've scored."

A fine finish from Dave Edwards, but Dominic Iorfa deserves a huge amount of credit for it.

Iorfa plays a one-two with Matt Doherty, whose pass back looks to be heading out of play, before Iorfa slides to pull it back into the box.

From there, Edwards makes no mistake, sending a powerful shot flying into the top corner.

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

Wolves break at pace on the counter-attack - surely, there must be an opportunity to open the scoring here.

No such luck, as record signing Ivan Cavaleiro can't pick out a team-mate despite having acres of space and time to do so.

Manager Paul Lambert must be considering a change soon if his side are going to take advantage of having the extra man.

Ex-Wolves and QPR midfielder Simon Osborn on BBC WM: "QPR have settled down well at the start of the second half and have passed the ball round better than Wolves.

"They are playing with less pressure on them and most of the play has been in Wolves' half.

"I wonder how long Paul Lambert might leave it before thinking of making a change."

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

A first chance for Yeni Ngbakoto to influence this game, but his free-kick from the QPR left is headed away by the first Wolves defender. Not the Frenchman's best delivery.

Despite their lack of clear-cut chances, Rangers will be pleased with how this second-half has started, as their ten men haven't been threatened by the visitors either so far.

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

That's the first real sight of Nouha Dicko, the Wolves striker barreling forward down the right but getting dispossessed before he can swing a cross into the box.

Ivan Cavaleiro becomes the first Wolves player be shown a yellow card for a late challenge on QPR defender Nedum Onuoha.

Just one change at half-time, as QPR introduce Yeni Ngbakoto in place of Conor Washington.

Wolves stick with the same 11 for now.

Tomorrow, the BBC will be showing the first of 32 British Basketball League (BBL) and Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) games live on the BBC Sport website and app.

If tonight's action isn't enough to sate your appetite for Championship football, fear not as I'll be back tomorrow to bring you live text coverage of Nottingham Forest against Newcastle.

Forest may only be 17th in the table as it stands, but they'll be coming into the game on the back of a three-match unbeaten run.

With Newcastle suffering a surprise defeat at the hands of Blackburn last time out, the league leaders could be in for another tough test on Friday night.

    HT: QPR 0-0 Wolves

Ex-England defender Matt Upson on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "The game has been marred by set pieces and knock downs and the sending off has changed the game.

"QPR looked to be in control, with Sandro sitting in front of the back four, but the sending off has turned the game on its head."

  12. HALF-TIME: QPR 0-0 Wolvespublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2016

QPR win a corner late in the first-half, as Dominic Iorfa is forced to put the ball behind to end Tjaronn Chery's driving run into the box.

The set-piece comes to nothing, with the referee spotting another foul in the box by a Rangers player.

Shortly after, he brings an end to the first-half, with both sides unable to break the deadlock.

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

Helder Costa had been kept fairly quiet before James Perch's sending off for QPR; now he's become the visitors' biggest attacking threat.

The winger cuts inside from the right onto his stronger left foot and gets a shot away, which is deflected up and out for a corner.

The set-piece comes to nothing, with Wolves centre-half Danny Batth penalised for a push inside the box.

Wolves are finding so much more space now they have an extra player on the pitch, with Dave Edwards close to breaking the deadlock.

Helder Costa hangs a cross into the centre of the box, with Edwards heading just over the bar.

James Perch sent offImage source, Rex Features

Ex-England defender Matt Upson on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra: "The referee had little choice.

"It was a soft first yellow card but you can't approach a referee like he did.

"The second tackle was so late and over the top that the referee had no choice but to send him off."

  16. RED CARD: James Perchpublished at 35 mins

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

James Perch's challenge a couple of minutes ago might have been a good one, but he pays a heavy price for a mistimed lunge here.

The QPR defender, booked earlier for dissent, launches into a tackle on Matt Doherty and brings the Wolves man down.

He can have no complaints as he's shown his second yellow card. The hosts will have to play almost an hour with only 10 men.

    Ivan CavalerioImage source, Rex Features

Wolves respond to the QPR pressure by breaking quickly down the left, but Ivan Cavaleiro tries to do too much by himself and concedes possession inside the box.

A pass would have been the better option, though it was an excellent tackle by James Perch in the area.

The game is just starting to open up a little more again now.

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

QPR have appeals for a handball inside the box waved away - the ball did come off a Wolves player's arm, but the referee says no penalty.

The hosts then win a free-kick in a dangerous area, only 20 yards out and fairly central.

Tjaronn Chery's effort is on target but too close to Carl Ikeme, who saves comfortably.

Alex Smithies' sharp save means Wolves are still waiting for their first goal under Paul Lambert, and they haven't scored in the opening 20 minutes of a league match all season.

At the other end, Nedum Onuoha fires over the bar, before Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme races out to deny Conor Washington a chance on goal.

  20. Postpublished at 22 mins

    QPR 0-0 Wolves

That's the best chance of the match.

Ivan Cavaleiro makes a bit of room down the left and swings a cross in to Helder Costa, who had peeled off at the far post.

Costa catches the ball sweetly on the volley, but Alex Smithies gets down quickly to his right to claw the ball away. Fantastic work all round.

    Quote Message

It was a great save. It was a great ball in, Costa hit it sweetly and it was a really good save. It's the first real save of the match and decent play by Wolves.
