    Sunderland 2-1 Leicester

Any sign of a grandstand finish? Not yet. Claudio Ranieri looks like he's just about to find out the results of his car's MOT test. Tense facial expression, clenched fists, pacing about.

No sign of a Leicester leveller yet. Two minutes of normal time to go...

    Matt Phillips (90 mins)

All over! It's a wonderful goal from Matt Phillips to seal the points for West Brom. A neat one-two with Darren Fletcher on the right, a run at the Watford defence, a low, left-footed, curling finish. A goal worthy of winning any game.

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

Palace needed this, big-time. They needed a creditable home performance and a clean sheet. Going forward they've looked much better today.

Many people speculated that if he'd lost this game today Alan Pardew would be out of a job. It doesn't look like it now.

  6. Final fivepublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

Not long to go in the three o'clockers, where we're in the final five plus stoppages. The Hawthorns and the Stadium of Light look to be the most likely sources of late drama.

    Christian Benteke

    Boom. Boom. Glad all OVER!

Alan Pardew grins and gives a thumbs up to Palace chairman Steve Parish up in the Selhurst Park posh seats.

His job is safe for the moment. Christian Benteke seems to have sealed a much-needed win, slotting in Jason Puncheon's cutback.

Two goals for the Belgian on his 26th birthday. That's having your cake and eating it.

  8. RED CARD - Roberto Pereyra (Watford)published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    West Brom 2-1 Watford

What's happened here? There's an Etihad-style rumble at The Hawthorns, all started when Roberto Pereyra tangles with James McClean. Everyone is involved, players and staff, with Pereyra eventually shown a red card. Only when we see a replay can we tell what for, Pereyra kicked out at McClean, who looked like he booted the ball at the Argentine. He gets a yellow for his part in the mischief.

How have Southampton not bundled this in?! From the corner won by Shane Long a moment ago, Virgil van Dijk sends a looping header onto the top of the bar.

And then when the ball comes back into play, Jose Fonte lashing a volley wide. A defender's finish.

    Sunderland 1-0 Leicester

This game has livened up. Like a sleeping lion which has just been prodded with a stick.

Sunderland are pushing for a killer second, the ever-awake Jermain Defoe forcing Leicester keeper Ron-Robert Zieler into an acrobatic stop.

Leicester, if this scoreline stays the same, will be just two points above the relegation zone.

  20. 'Catalogue of errors for Swansea'published at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2016

    Tottenham 4-0 Swansea

    Clive Allen
Former Spurs & England forward at White Hart Lane for 5 live sports extra

That was a catalogue of errors from Swansea. There were opportunities to make challenges and no-one did. I'm not sure whether Amat kicks the ball against Eriksen and it popped off his shoulder and into the back of the net. It's an emphatic victory for Spurs.
