  1. Valencia starting brightlypublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Everton 0-0 Leicester

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Goodison Park

Enner Valencia's Everton career has been something of a slow burner since he moved on loan from West Ham United - but he is showing signs of settling to his task

He scored his first goal in the home win against Southampton and has started brightly here against Leicester City, linking well with Romelu Lukaku on a couple of occasions.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

The home side almost go ahead after striker Salomon Rondon is given the ball by Scott Carson, but the former England goalkeeper's blushes are spared by a brilliant challenge on the line by skipper Richard Keogh.

  3. CLOSE!published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    West Brom 0-0 Derby

So nearly an early goal at The Hawthorns...

MK Dons are slow to close down former Celtic man Beram Kayal and he lashes in from the edge of the area.

GOAL - Birmingham 0-1 Newcastlepublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Daryl Murphy (5 mins)

What a pointless signing Daryl Murphy was, we said in the office earlier. Not now!

The £3m+ summer signing has barely played for the Magpies, but takes his chance here at St Andrew's. The Republic of Ireland international reacts quickest at a corner to prod in his first goal for the club.

  6. 'Nothing unusual from the artificial pitch'published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Sutton United 0-0 AFC Wimbledon

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss at Gander Green Lane for 5 live Sport

This surface will allow both sides to pass the ball quickly and cleanly. Early on the Wimbledon keeper hit a long ball and I watched the bounce. It was normal, just as you'd expect, so nothing unusual from the artificial pitch.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Sutton 0-0 AFC Wimbledon

Sutton are up for causing an upset. Matt Tubbs is giving the AFC Wimbledon defence plenty to think about and he's just put an effort wide.

  8. 'Brilliant to see a team like Stourbridge'published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Wycombe Wanderers 0-0 Stourbridge

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal & West Ham defender on Final Score

Wycombe Wanderers versus Stourbridge is a game which stands out for me. It's brilliant to see a team like Stourbridge this deep into the competition. Wouldn't it be great if they progressed?

  9. WHAT A MISSpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Millwall 0-0 Bournemouth

This is an absolute shocker from both goalkeeper and striker.

Bournemouth's Adam Federici gets in a right muddle and gives the ball out to Millwall's Steve Morison.

He is around 10 yards out, slightly on the angle but with the whole goal gaping, he somehow manages to put the ball wide.

  11. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

Southampton well on top in these early stages with Shane Long proving a particular thorn in Norwich's side. He's just prodded a shot wide before teeing up Dusan Tadic, but his shot is blocked.

  12. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Hull 0-0 Swansea

Almost something to give the few thousand or so Hull fans to cheer early doors. Sam Clucas climbs to meet David Meyler's cross with his forehead, but can't keep his header down.

Now that would have been the perfect start for new Tigers boss Marco Silva.

  13. 'A win could give you a little momentum'published at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Hull City 0-0 Swansea City

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal & West Ham defender on Final Score

Today will be a nice breather from the league for both clubs. The FA Cup weekend still involves playing a football match, but unlike in the league the players can go out and enjoy themselves.

And who knows, a win could bring players together and give you a little momentum which you can take into your relegation battle.

  14. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Stoke 0-0 Wolves

Stoke have recalled former Barcelona man Bojan today and his early cross is well cleared by Wolves defender Kortney Hause.

  15. 'Brighton need to turn up and perform'published at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Brighton 0-0 Milton Keynes Dons

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal & West Ham defender on Final Score

Brighton have, in the last few years, shown how to go about building a football club, improving the stadium and training facilities. They are putting more faith and finances into the playing side, and they are looking strong candidates for promotion from the Championship.

Today, as long as they turn up and perform they should get through.

  17. 'Anything can happen'published at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

Sutton United v AFC Wimbledon (15:00 GMT)

    BBC Radio 5 live

Neil Ardley, AFC WimbledonImage source, Getty Images

Neil Ardley, AFC Wimbledon manager, on 5 live Sport: "There is a friendly rivalry here today. The two clubs have a lot of time for each other - there's history there. Both clubs also have a decent history in the FA Cup.

"It's great to have these two teams here with a place in the fourth round at stake. It's the FA Cup, so anything can happen and we need to approach today with the right mentality.

"You have to deal with the anxiety and expectation of today, but most importantly we have to get to grips with conditions and the surface. It will be difficult today, because there's a big different between a 3G surface and grass. I've played on both so I know, and we've tried to train on a similar surface to get used to it."

  18. 'Neil is not flavour of the month'published at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Norwich City v Southampton (15:00)

    Dion Dublin
Former Leicester and Man Utd forward on Final Score

A lot of people in Norwich think Alex Neil is a very blinkered manager - it's either his way or the highway. And in his 30s you're still a baby as a boss.

He needs to take advice from the people around him in an effort to get the Canaries back to where they need to be. Because at the moment Neil is not flavour of the month.

  19. Look who's here!published at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Everton v Leicester (15:00 GMT)

Not enough new signings are introduced on the pitch these days. Used to love seeing smug chairman almost slip over in their shiny leather brogues.

Everton go back to this wonderful tradition, bringing Ademola Lookman out ahead of kick-off.

The £11m signing from Charlton walks out onto the Goodison pitch to a very warm welcome from the Blues.

  20. 'A really tough fixture for Crystal Palace'published at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 7 January 2017

    Bolton v Crystal Palace (15:00)

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal & West Ham defender on Final Score

I've never forgotten the impact Big Sam Allardyce had on Bolton Wanderers. The club is clearly close to his heart due to his experiences there as a player and a manager.

But I think today against Bolton - who are flying at the moment - could be really tough fixture for Crystal Palace.

Bolton will be up for it, on the front foot and are a side full of confidence.
