  1. goal

GOAL - Swansea 0-1 Arsenalpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Olivier Giroud (38 mins)

Arsenal haven't looked like scoring all game but with their first real chance they score. Alexis Sanchez's cross is headed down by Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud is in the right place to stab home his fifth goal in as many games for the Gunners. No stopping the striker at the moment.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

James Tomkins should have Palace in front.

Andros Townsend's free-kick finds the defender six yards out and he seems to struggle to get his feet sorted and can only prod it wide.

  3. 'Quality ball'published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Hull City 1-1 Bournemouth

    Chris Sutton
    Ex-Chelsea striker on Final Score

It's a brilliant ball in, you could say that Artur Boruc could've done slightly better but it's brilliant quality from Andrew Robertson.

Abel Hernandez couldn't miss - he just had to get his head on it.

Hull have to win this and they've responded well. Game on.

  4. goal

GOAL - Sunderland 0-3 Stokepublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Peter Crouch (35 mins)

    Oh dear.

A bad day gets even worse for Sunderland as Stoke grab a third. It's awful defending from the Black Cats, truly awful, as the whole back line watches a lofted cross sail over their heads and Peter Crouch gleefully rises to nod in.

I fear this could get even worse for the hosts. Stoke look unplayable.

  5. goal

GOAL - Hull City 1-1 Bournemouthpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Abel Hernandez (31 mins)

Ah, maybe Marco does have the Silva touch?

Hull have been a mess, frankly, but they're level.

Andrew Robertson is allowed all the time he desires to swing in a cross from deep down the left. It finds Abel Hernandez at the back post, whose leap is timed perfectly to nod down and in from five yards out.

  6. 'Arsenal have to win this'published at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Arsenal

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

Arsenal haven't started well against Swansea and they need to win this game.

They're sliding down the table and Spurs are rising up it.

  7. Postpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal haven't really got going in this game as they struggle to cope with Swansea's high pressing game.

Alexis Sanchez has been particularly quiet, although he manages to draw a save out of Lukasz Fabianski with a low effort from the edge of the box.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Good feet for a big man, etc etc etc...

This is nice from Andy Carroll though.

Mark Noble finds himself down the right wing and manages to pick out Carroll with a cross, despite the attention of three Palace defenders.

Carroll catches it beautifully on the half-volley and the shot just rises too quickly and goes over. Very satisfying shape on the arc of that ball though.

  10. Defoe has had five touches so far... three at kick-offspublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Sunderland 0-2 Stoke

If Sunderland are going to get back into this game they need to find a way of feeding top-scorer Jermain Defoe inside the Stoke area. The former England striker has only touched the ball five times so far, and three of those were from a kick-off.

Contrast Defoe's touch-map (l) with that with of Stoke's two-goal hero Marko Arnautovic (r) who has been working hard down the left and seeing plenty of the ball inside and outside the box, as well as finding the net twice.

    Watford 0-0 Middlesbrough

Great chance for Watford. Stefano Okaka knocks the ball down for Abdoulaye Doucoure, who shoots first time but Victor Valdes gets down low at his near post to make the save. The hosts are unlucky not to be ahead.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Southampton

Even referee Paul Tierney might be getting bored with the lack of action at Turf Moor.

He's booked Southampton defender Maya Yoshida for a handball. Tad harsh possibly.

  13. 'Shop floor dummies'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Sunderland 0-2 Stoke

    Chris Sutton
    Ex-Chelsea striker on Final Score

Sunderland are usually defensively poor but that was absolutely shocking - their defenders were standing there like shop-floor dummies.

It's great play from Stoke and a great finish from Marko Arnautovic but Sunderland are in massive trouble.

David Moyes has no ability to spend real money in January - they are bang in trouble.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Hull City 0-1 Bournemouth

The Tigers are chasing their tails at the moment. They're all over the shop.

A massive hoof comes down with snow on it and, fittingly, Michael Dawson turns with the elegance of a shire horse on ice skates as he allows Benik Afobe to get in one-on-one.

The Bournemouth striker miscues his effort though and Eldin Jakupovic makes the save.

  15. goal

GOAL - Sunderland 0-2 Stokepublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Marko Arnautovic (22 mins)

Goals are like buses for Marko Arnautovic - don't score ages and then two come at once!

This is a lovely team strike as one-touch football opens up the Sunderland defence before Arnautovic smashes into back of the net from Peter Crouch's pass.

Bad times for the Black Cats.

  16. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Christian Benteke may be linked with a move away from Palace, but he's looking pretty committed right now.

He stretches every inch of his ample frame to try to win an aerial battle with James Collins, but catches the Hammers defender with an elbow. Full-blooded stuff.

  17. No Sunderland goals, no Sunderland pressure...published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Sunderland 0-1 Stoke

Sunderland are a goal down and not exactly looking like getting back into the game. With 20 minutes played, they are yet to have a shot at the Stoke goal, or touch the ball in the Stoke area.

Middlesbrough have the ball in the back of the net but Cristhian Stuani's celebrations are cut short by the offside flag.

  19. Taylor tributes?published at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

If you were interested, only Watford held a dedicated moment of remembrance for Graham Taylor before the 15:00 GMT games.

Burnley included Taylor in a minute's applause for members of the Clarets family lost in 2016.

Swansea put a picture up of the former England manager before the game started.

    And that was it.

  20. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Arsenal

There's a lovely rainbow stretching out over the Liberty Stadium right now. As for on the pitch, little in the way of chances. Olivier Giroud took a knock to his ankle a little earlier and was hobbling, but he appears to have shaken it off now.
