    Daley Blind (39 mins)

United break the deadlock and it has come from an unlikely source. The Sunderland box is packed with white-shirted players but Zlatan Ibrahimovic manages to poke a pass to Daley Blind, who takes a touch and rifles a low shot across goal and into the far corner.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sunderland

Pogbaaaa, no! The midfielder has time and space to shoot at goal from the edge of the box but his effort goes just a yard over the bar.

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

There is a chance for Gylfi Sigurdsson. The ball is worked down the right and crossed low towards the Icelandic international in plenty of space in the box. He opens himself up to shoot but opens his boot too much and shoots horribly wide.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Cesc Fabregas is licking his lips as he stands over a 20-yard free-kick. The Chelsea midfielder clips it up and over the Bournemouth wall, leaving Artur Boruc rooted to the spot. Thankfully for the visitors the ball swishes the roof of the net.

Tor Noppharat: Dunno whether that was intentional by Pedro. But it was a really nice Christmas present!

Steve Howes: Pedro, beautifully worked goal with bournemouth trying to smother defence

Deldude: One word for Pedro's goal genius

    Swansea 0-1 West Ham

Swansea are desperately trying to find a way back into the game at the Liberty Stadium, but they look a bit lost every time they get in to the West Ham half at the moment. They need some inspiration from someone. Gylfi is usually the go-to man for that.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Brom

Alexis Sanchez is playing a little deeper for Arsenal with the recalled Olivier Giroud up top. Neither fella has done much yet. Until now... Sanchez surges forward and drills a swerving shot that Ben Foster is relieved to push to safety.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Oh my word! This would have been a thing of beauty. If it had gone in. And if the ref hadn't already blown up.

Eden Hazard pulls the rabona out of the top drawer, Artur Boruc acrobatically plucks out of his top corner after Mike Jones toots his whistle for a foul.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sunderland

Sunderland should be 1-0 up. Marcos Rojo completely misses the ball in the box, presenting Victor Anichebe with just David de Gea to beat. The keeper comes out on top and is then also on hand to block Fabio Borini's follow-up. The United defence are then able to rally and see off the threat.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Brom

Arsenal are knocking gently on the West Brom door, but there is no sign of it budging. Attack v defence at the moment.

    Burnley 0-0 Middlesbrough

Burnley have a legitimate shout for a penalty waved away at Turf Moor. During a scramble in the box, Dean Marney's acrobatic effort is blocked by the arm of Calum Chambers. There appeared to be some intent in it as well. Boro get lucky.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

I'm never normally a fan of the short corner but Chelsea worked one especially well for their goal. Cesc Fabregas (4) took it short and then quickly found himself on the edge of the area to find goalscorer Pedro (11) with a lovely little pass through. Deadlock, broken.

It is a beautiful touch to control the ball from Pedro. It was still stuck under his feet a little and then he dug it out like a nine iron into the top corner.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sunderland

Sunderland have evened up the balance of okay at Old Trafford. They're not being too adventurous but they have shifted the United camp from the edge of their own box. Paul Pogba looks to get the home side up and running but after an exchange of passes his curling shot is tipped away by Jordan Pickford.

    Pedro (24 mins)

Someone has just replaced Pedro's left foot with a lob wedge! The Chelsea forward digs the ball out of the Stamford Bridge turf with a wonderful chip, looping the ball over Artur Boruc (possibly with the aid of a deflection) and into the top corner. Tiger Woods would have been proud of that touch.

The Premier League leaders are nine points clear as it stands.

    Chelsea 0-0 Bournemouth

Some neat interplay around the Bournemouth box between Chelsea trio Pedro, Eden Hazard and Willian. Pedro has a pop (or at least I think he does) as the ball skids past the far post. Close but not close enough.

    Burnley 0-0 Middlesbrough

Still an even affair (for that, read uneventful) at Turf Moor. Jeff Hendrick leans back to shoot at goal but he can generate neither enough power or find the right level of accuracy to test the Boro keeper, Victor Valdes.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sunderland

David de Gea is called into action with a diving save to push away Patrick van Aanholt's free-kick from 20 yards. Straight away, down the other end, Juan Mata is clattered in the box by a clumsy challenge from Lamine Kone. I've seen those given as a penalty. In fact, they're probably given more often than not. Not this time, though.

    Arsenal 0-0 West Brom

Predictably it is all Arsenal. Less predictably West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob backheels clear Kieran Gibbs' cross from the left. The Gunners not firing yet.
