It doesn't seem like Watford have a way of playing and that is where the problems lie with Watford fans and Walter Mazzarri.

Last year Watford had a way of playing, with Deeney and Ighalo, this year it is not as enjoyable to watch.

  2. WATCH AGAIN: Aluko gives Fulham lead against Hullpublished at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Sone Aluko made 90 appearances for Hull between 2012 and 2016. He's come back to haunt the Tigers as he's given Fulham the lead at the Cottage.

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Sone Aluko runs at the Hull back four and weaves smartly around challenges, all he needs now is a yard to get a shot off... he gets it...but across comes Tom Huddlestone to crowd him out in the six-yard box. Great play by Aluko, last-ditch for Hull. That should have been a second for the ex-Hull striker on half hour.

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Sone Aluko could be in the headlines if his goal proves a winner but the Fulham front man defends back in his own corner, showing he is prepared to put a shift in.

His graft starts another attack. Fulham are picking holes through the Hull midfield too easily.

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Fulham construct from the back and then try to build through midfield where pressure arrives. Neat football though, they maintain possession and Denis Odoi gets a shot off from 20 yards but he came back into play from an offside possession.

  6. Battle of the yo-yo clubs?published at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

    Martin Ling
Former Leyton Orient manager on BBC Radio London

Hull are a real yo-yo club going between the Premier League and the Championship and Fulham aren't so different so they're well matched.

  7. CLOSE!published at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Hull find some purchase down the Fulham right as Lazar Markovic puts in a teasing cross.

It's rattling around in there before Abel Hernandez gets a second chance at the header but Marcus Bettinelli stays tall to flap it away.

Fulham break up the other end but Chris Martin fires high over the bar.

Millwall have managed to rough them up, they will be disappointed that they are not ahead. It's been a good first half for the underdogs.

Alphonse Rawlinson: Hospital pass that from Britos. Glad to see Mariappa saving the day.

Robert Sadler: This game has just turned very ugly...

Lee Fergusson: Good game Watford almost had a penalty but then they almost messed up at the other end!

  11. WATCH AGAIN: Poor Watford back pass almost gives Millwall leadpublished at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Millwall 0-0 Watford

A terribly short back pass from Watford's Miguel Britos sells goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon short and Lee Gregory almost nips in to give the hosts the lead.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Millwall 0-0 Watford

The young Jerome Sinclair clatters the evergreen Steve Morison, giving Millwall one last chance to put the ball into the box in this half... they do... keeper's ball.

That's the end of the first period.

    Millwall 0-0 Watford

Short of one set-piece, Watford have been blunt going forward. A pass down the left flank dribbles out for a goal kick. Poor communication and that sums up their half.

There is no one to hold the ball up for Watford.

They need Troy Deeney out there.

Good pressure from Millwall late in the half. A Shaun Williams corner is glanced at goal by Steve Morison but Adlene Guedioura gets a crucial flick in the six-yard box to divert the ball away from goal. That was about to be touched home. Millwall will regret not being ahead here.

  16. CLOSE!published at 12:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Fulham 1-0 Hull

Hull have a chance to go level as Adama Diomande picks up a loose ball and drives at the Fulham defence, only to fire his effort just wide.

For a 'keeper who has just come off the bench, this is a fantastic save.

The technique from Gregory was absolutely brilliant.

  18. CLOSE!published at 45+1 mins

And that is exactly what Millwall work on... a long ball into Steve Morison, a flick on and BANG, a Lee Gregory volley. It brings a fine save from Heurelho Gomes.

I'm looking at that, wondering which Hull players should be picking up Tomas Kalas and Sone Aluko there but they really aren't great aerially.

"Oh Stevie Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Stevie, Stevie Morison," sing the home faithful.

The Millwall front man is putting himself around but he's yet to see sight of goal. We will have six added minutes in this first half as a result of that treatment for Costel Pantilimon.
