When Gent are starting to play out the Spurs defenders are ready for the challenge.

Gent were really fast out of the blocks and it looks like they've burnt their energy out.

It's more like it from Tottenham. They're starting to boss this game.   

Gent are very organised at the back with two narrow banks of four players.

Spurs need to get the ball out to the flanks, but Ben Davies is not in the league of Danny Rose down that left side.

David Bushell: Tottenham's plan here should be to give it to Harry Winks and let him dictate play. Been the only spark so far.

He climbs over his own man Stefan Mitrovic to try and claim a cross, but ends up dropping it as his team-mate has to scramble to get it clear.

Moussa Sissoko then nods the ball into the path of Dele Alli, but the Spurs midfielder's strike is way off target.

Nice football from Gent.

The ball is stroked to the right for Thomas Foket, who has acres of land in front of him

Foket clips a cross towards Brecht Dejaegere who takes it on the volley, but he cannot get over it and the ball ends up in the stands.

Sloppy from Kyle Walker, as he gives the ball away on the halfway line to Kenneth Saief.

The midfielder breaks forward inside the Spurs area, but his left-footed shot is blocked well by Toby Alderweireld.

A stinger on his thigh. He'll be rubbing that better when the camera pans away from him.

It's a hard life.

I am reading the Ghelamco Arena houses a Michelin star restaurant, but this match has been like a cold slice of leftover pizza from the previous night.

Not very appetising.
