Oxford's Rob Hall is the latest to go close, forcing a save from goalkeeper Lee Burge. A critical spell of the game coming up.
Coventry 2-0 Oxford
As in the first half, Oxford respond well to conceding a goal but they can't find an immediate reply.
Marvin Johnson does well down the left and puts in the low cross, but there's no meaningful touch towards Lee Burge's goal.
Coventry are about to lose their captain Jordan Willis to injury, and Dion Kelly-Evans will be on to replace him shortly.
Coventry 2-0 Oxford
Coventry double their lead with a stunning, stunning goal from George Thomas.
He takes down a left-wing cross and slams a half-volley into the bottom corner from 18 yards.
A moment to remember for the young winger.
Oxford make their first change, with Liam Sercombe replacing Ryan Ledson. They need a goal, and quickly.
George Thomas
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Coventry go so close to a second, but George Thomas finds Simon Eastwood in fine form as the Oxford goalkeeper tips over his effort from a tight angle.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
There's only one side in this match at the moment, and they're playing in sky blue.
George Thomas ghosts in behind the Oxford defence but can't get a decent cross in.
Coventry do get themselves another corner though, but Kyel Reid blasts an effort over the bar from long range.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Oxford's first-half frustration is continuing early in the second period.
Striker Kane Hemmings feels as if he is fouled on halfway and stops, expecting a free-kick, which he doesn't get.
Coventry break but Stuart Beavon's shot is easy for Simon Eastwood to claim.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
An early Coventry corner to start the second half, which flashes through the Oxford penalty area and to safety.
A second Sky Blues goal would really give Oxford some work to do.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
The teams have emerged at Wembley for the second period and there are no changes for either team.
Oxford get us going again, with Coventry leading 1-0 thanks to that 11th-minute goal from midfielder Gael Bigirimana.

In the least surprising football news of the weekend, Celtic have been crowned champions of Scotland for the sixth successive year.
Brendan Rodgers' side thrashed Hearts 5-0 at Tynecastle to wrap up the title with eight games to spare.
HT: Coventry 1-0 Oxford
I'll continue with second-half coverage from Wembley shortly, but first let me bring you up to date with some of the football stories making the news elsewhere.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Advantage Coventry at half-time.
Gael Bigirimana netted the only goal after 11 minutes, which has given the Sky Blues a one-goal lead at the break.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
There will be one minute of added time to play at the end of the first half. Coventry looking good for a lead at the break.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Chances at both ends as the half-time whistle approaches.
Coventry's Ruben Lameiras has a shot from the edge of the area blocked and Oxford break, but Rob Hall fires wide from Marvin Johnson's cross.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Coventry goalscorer Gael Bigirimana, who I'm informed became a father to a baby girl earlier this weekend, is the first man into the referee's notebook for a lunging tackle on Oxford's Ryan Ledson.
It's turning into an eventful couple of days for Bigirimana.

BBC Sport at Wembley
Coventry clearly have more fans, they're making more noise and they're ahead thanks to the lucky break that left Gael Bigirimana in the clear to score only his second goal for the Sky Blues.
But Oxford are not ninth in the League One table, 15 places and 27 points better off, for no good reason. They look overall the greater threat - and those already anticipating Coventry's second 'Wembley upset' in 30 years are maybe a bit premature.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Oxford appeal unsuccessfully for a penalty as Ryan Haynes nudges Kane Hemmings in the back. Not much in that.
Coventry 1-0 Oxford
Although Oxford have done much of the attacking in the first half, Coventry have the only goal and they've looked a threat going forward themselves.
Kyel Reid, in particular, looks dangerous every time he gets the ball on the Coventry left.
Ben Stevenson tries to get a volley away from the edge of the box but it's a tame one, straight into the arms of Oxford goalkeeper Simon Eastwood.
