RB Leipzig have won four promotions in the seven years since they were founded in 2009.

The men they have to thank are billionaire owner Dietrich Mateschitz, co-founder of Red Bull and their sporting director Ralf Rangnick.

Mateschitz's money and Rangnick's football expertise have taken them from the fourth division to the top of the Bundesliga.

It has been a controversial journey.

They are known as the most hated club in Germany because of their approach to the Bundesliga's mandatory 50+1 rule.

The rule ensures that club members retain a majority of its voting rights but whereas Borussia Dortmund has nearly 140,000 members, RB Leipzig - has just 17 and the majority are Red Bull employees.
