Wayne Rooney has been selected for his fifth successive Premier League start for Manchester United. Will it be his last?

After playing three games in a week, it seems unlikely Rooney will be in Jose Mourinho's team for Wednesday's Europa League final against Ajax and his future beyond that is open to extreme doubt.

Mourinho has given four players - Joel Pereira, Demetri Mitchell, Scott McTominay and Josh Harrop - their Premier League debuts.

Sixteen-year-old Angel Gomes is on the bench, and could become United's youngest Premier League player.

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

It’s a lot. Jordan Pickford has only had one half-decent season. You’ve got to be careful sometimes judging goalkeepers who make saves every week because they’re playing behind a poor team.

But he is talented. But Jack Butland for me is the one. He’s a sensational goalkeeper.
