  1. Season review: 5. Chelsea's transformationpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham

    Antonio ConteImage source, Rex Features

When Chelsealost 3-0 to Arsenal on 24 September, Antonio Conte's side dropped to 10th in the table, eight points behind then leaders Manchester City.

But that result proved to be the catalyst which sparked a remarkable transformation.

The Blues manager, his first Premier League campaign, switched to three at the back, a system which left no place for captain John Terry.

Chelsea's resurgence included a 2-1 comeback victory against Tottenham in November, Spurs' first Premier League defeat of the season.

And Victor Moses also continued his unlikely revival under Conte's tactical reshuffling by netting the winner.

    20 years at Arsenal

In October, Arsene Wenger celebrated 20 years at the North London Club.

The Frenchman arrived as a relative unknown.

Now, after two decades at Arsenal, 15 trophies, a new stadium and almost £700m spent on players, he is the longest-serving - and most successful - overseas manager this country has known.

But this season he faced some of his fiercest criticism yet with the Premier League enduring months of the "Wenger in, Wenger out" debate and the "will he, won't he" sign a new contract.

The 67-year-old is yet to announce a decision on his future.

Chris Calver: Midfielder has to be Ander Herrera. Runs around a lot but spends a lot of time passing backwards/sideways. Is he effective?

Elliott Almqvist: The Midfielder Who Gave It All But You Actually Wonder If He's Effective: Adama Traore (0 Goals, 1 Assist)

Harsh. He does bag quite a few goals.

    Guidolin, Bradley, Clement

Francesco Guidolin became the first Premier League manager of the season to be sacked as he was replaced by former USA boss Bob Bradley at Swansea in October.

Bradley was also the first American to manage in the Premier League, but only lasted 85 days in charge after an unimpressive tenure.

Manchester United and Wales legend Ryan Giggs was the favourite to become Swansea City's third manager of the season, but Paul Clement was given the nod at the start of the new year.

The former Derby County manager took over with Swansea bottom of the Premier League, the rest is history...

Christopher May: Forward - Vincent Janssen. Tries so hard, seeing him get his goal from open play was a great moment. But an ineffective backup.

  9. 'Chelsea are worthy champions'published at 11:07 British Summer Time 21 May 2017

    Chelsea v Sunderland (15:00 BST)

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore on BBC Sportsweek: “Chelsea have given us a coaching masterclass in many ways. If you think where they were in September, nobody could see what was then going to happen.

“Through they have come, they have played brilliantly and the coach has been fantastic to watch – the enthusiasm – and when they take that trophy today no one is going to deny they are very worthy champions.”

West Ham moved to the London Stadium in 2016 after 112 years at Upton Park

Watford produced one of the comebacks of the season to beat West Ham at the London Stadium in September.

Two headers from Michail Antonio had put the hosts firmly in control with 33 minutes played.

But Watford replied with four goals after the break to stun Slaven Bilic's side.

And fighting broke out in the stands as the Hammers debut season at the London Stadium began in ill-tempered and chaotic fashion.
