Tony Pulis has got West Brom really organised.

He has also got a really good dressing room. Players he signs have to be good on the pitch - but he also thinks about what they bring all-round to the team.

The teams are coming out, West Brom in their traditional blue and white home kit and Sunderland in their Bagpuss kit.

Apparently these sides have the lowest possession figures on average in the Premier League this season, Sunderland 38.4% and West Brom 36.4%.

This won't be a game for tiki-taka football fans.

Does Pulis care about being liked?

Eighth in the table. Two wins in the last three games. And a home game against a struggling Sunderland team. Life is pretty good if you are a West Brom fan right now.

Yet their winning run has presented boss Tony Pulis with problems. How does he keep his players happy when they are not in the side?

"The most important thing is to be honest and straight with them," Pulis told Adrian Chiles in an interview for The Premier League Show.

"If you try and be clever eventually it will spin round and catch you out. One day they might say 'I didn't like him but he was a straight fella'."

Last January, Sunderland effectively saved themselves in the transfer window. Under Sam Allardyce they invested in Lamine Kone, Jan Kirchhoff and Wahbi Khazri, who all played a significant part in the club's escape.

I am taking nothing away from Allardyce's achievement by saying that I reckon David Moyes could do just as well given the same opportunity to bolster his squad. But it seems that Sunderland are either unwilling, or unable, to support Moyes in the same way.

West Brom's new £10m signing Jake Livermore starts on the bench as Tony Pulis makes just one change to the side that lost 4-0 to Tottenham.

Full-back Allan Nyom starts in place of Jonas Olsson. Nyom has been cleared to play after Fifa dismissed  dismissed a complaint by Cameroon Football Federation. The 28-year-old, who has missed the last two games, had told his country he did not want to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.

David Moyes has made two changes to his Sunderland side that lost 3-1 to Stoke.

Donald Love is replace by Billy Jones in the defence, while 22-year-old George Honeyman makes his Premier League start in place of Fabio Borini.

Striker Victor Anichebe returns to the bench.

If David Moyes and his Sunderland players were watching the early kick-off then they now know they desperately need a win today.

Swansea's win at Liverpool lifts the Swans out of the relegation zone and puts Sunderland bottom.

Winless in their last four, a big result is needed today at the Hawthorns.

A 4-0 defeat to Totteham last time out clipped the wings of the highflying Baggies, can they respond today?

New £10m signing Jake Livermore starts on the bench.
