Stand up and applaud Eden Hazard.

What an unbelievable goal that is. He brushes off Francis Coquelin, swats him off like a fly. Strength, power. "Get off!"

Watching that, two words come to mind, determination and desire. That's what Chelsea have, that's what Arsenal don't have.

GOAL - Chelsea 2-0 Arsenalpublished at 53 mins

    Eden Hazard

I just need to pause for breath. What a terrific, terrific goal.

It's all about Eden Hazard. He collects the ball on halfway and just starts running. Francis Coquelin tries to get a piggy back briefly and Hazard throws him off. Now he's faced by two central defenders, Laurent Koscielny comes first and his feet are all wrong, Hazard can dance around them with ease to leave just Petr Cech... a low bobbler of a shot... in she goes.

Arsenal fans, maybe start dialing the phone-ins now, 12 points is a long, long way.

Diego Costa thinks he is in on goal and forces a low save from Petr Cech but the flag has gone up. He went too early.

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

No changes at the break, Chelsea 3-5-2 as they have been for months now, Arsenal 4-2-3-1 for now. Hector Bellerin went off after getting hurt in the build-up to the goal of course, Gabriel is at right back.

Arsenal a tad patched up on their best XI and that's showing. They are just a touch shy of quality coming forward. A goal could change the momentum of course.

Eden Hazard has a swing from 25 yards... three points. Over the bar like a Six Nations conversion.

Noel Fitzpatrick: Ozil is like Can at Liverpool, just slows the whole game down, kills the momentum when his team is attacking.

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Eden Hazard slipped through, a foot race with Laurent Koscielny... the defender slides in crucially to win the ball and get the job done. Crucial.

What I love about this is Hazard punches the air in frustration after the tackle. That's how bad he wanted it. Hunger.

Granit Xhaka does a match properly. None of this hospitality nonsense. Let's hope he doesn't dive in on anyone two footed in the away end.

I was a little sidetracked there at half-time. Why? Because we were discussing this brilliant piece on interviews that go wrong.

This of course came around after Jose Mourinho chose to walk out of a one on one this week. I urge you to have a read, some great tales.

Hollywood Actor Will Ferrell must really love his football.

He was spotted at Anfield for Liverpool's game with Swansea and has now ventured south to see Chelsea in action for a bit of afternoon delight.

  13. 'Does Wenger believe in Arsenal's title chances?'published at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Danny Mills
Ex-England defender on Radio 5 live

This is where we see whether Arsene Wenger really believes whether his side can win the league.

He needs to make positive changes to come out and win this match in the second half. If he doesn't, it shows that he is happy to settle for fourth place.

  14. Chelsea in chargepublished at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Arsenal started well but had their confidence knocked by Marcos Alonso's goal - they gathered themselves before half-time but there is an air of real control about Chelsea.

Antonio Conte is a noisy, animated presence in his technical area. He is demanding more. What has Arsene Wenger seen from his seat in the stands that could change things?

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

Decent stuff. Had me drawn in at least. I hope you were too.

A Marcos Alonso goal is the difference. His header has some of you up in arms on Twitter. Why? Because his arms - well, his elbow - collided with Hector Bellerin during the challenge for the ball.

Bellerin had to go off, Alonso was off celebrating.

Tough on Arsenal but for my money at least, he had eyes only for the ball.

A good half. We have some celebrity spotting coming up for you soon.

Gabriel crosses from wide, Nemanja Matic heads away. Arsenal win it back and come again.

Nacho Monreal delivers, Theo Walcott sets the ball back to the edge of the area and it's played to Mesut Ozil in space. CHANCE... he takes an extra touch to cut onto his left foot... low drive... held.

    That was a decent opening.

As this half has gone on, there has been some encouragement for the away side.

Arsenal have been exposed a few times by quick switches to the left flank where Eden Hazard lurks. This time the Belgium international flips the ball infield quickly to Pedro who looks to take Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on but a well-timed tackle halts the progress.

Arsene Wenger walks from his seat in the stands. I'd love it if he came back with a pie. Go on Arsene, how many times will you get to sit in these surroundings? Do it properly, pie and Bovril.
