Palace win a late corner...

Two minutes for someone to go into the break with a lead.

Off the line! Stoke have earned a few corners this afternoon - finally they almost make one count. Stoke man-mountain Bruno Martins Indi climbs above the Palace defence, thumping a header towards the bottom right corner. Luckily for Palace Andros Townsend is there to hack clear.

Martin Atkinson is the busiest man on the pitch. The referee takes another name - Jason Puncheon, this time - for clipping Erik Pieters.

Ding ding, round two! Wilfried Zaha has a pop back at Phil Bardsley after their spat a few moments ago, the Palace winger going into the book for a high and not very pretty challenge.

Get the champagne glasses out! Stoke go for the party football. Charlie Adam and Marko Arnautovic backheel their way around the left side of Palace's defence, but ultimately it gets them nowhere.

Peter Crouch is starting to make a nuisance of himself. The big man gallops towards a swirling cross from left-back Erik Pieters, but is beaten to the ball by Wayne Hennessey.

A bit of needle gets this one going. Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is beaten to the ball by sliding Stoke defender Phil Bardsley on the touchline, Bardsley gives him a little shove in the back afterwards. Zaha isn't happy, ref Martin Atkinson has a calming word.

Stoke go on the attack again, this time more direct. A long ball finds the head of Peter Crouch, Joe Allen pouncing on the knockdown to feed Marko Arnautovic. His low shot lacks power though, Wayne Hennessey scooping up.

Can that miss spark some life into this game?

How has Joe Allen not scored? I don't know, he doesn't know, about 25,000 people in Stoke don't know.

Ramadan Sobhi shows some silky skills down the left flank, making a mug of Joel Ward before whipping in a cross. 

Allen peels off his marker, waits to meet a free header - somehow he plants it over the bar.

Palace threaten briefly at one end but then Stoke break up the other end...

Plenty of endeavour from both teams, but neither can't make it stick up top. Another stray pass in the final third leaves Mark Hughes grimacing.

What a good signing Stoke keeper Lee Grant has proved to be by the way. Swapping the Derby ressies for Premier League football. His agent deserves a bonus.

Better from Palace. Christian Benteke holds up the ball, looking left to see Patrick van Aanholt bombing on. The recent signing drills a low shot towards goal, that's bread and butter for Lee Grant.

Stoke are playing very neat and tidy inside the Palace half, but it is all a little pedestrian. Joe Allen tries to pick up the pace but lamps a diag out for the goal kick.

Not much going on in the entertainment stakes here. An afternoon doing the washing and ironing could arguably provide more. 

Peter Crouch is the target of the Stoke corner, climbing above Christian Benteke which itself is no easy feat. But the former England striker's header lacks power and drifts wide.
