There was a bit of beef between Mark Hughes and Tony Pulis last weekend, with the Albion boss not shaking his Stoke successor's hand and some subsequent cross words. And it continued with this candidate for the best football gossip of the week...

Marko Arnautovic looks mighty happy with himself. The Stoke midfielder wandering off from the warm-up with a big grin on his face and blowing a kiss to someone in the crowd. His beau perhaps. Great to see a man so happy in his work.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes, whose side could move up to ninth with a win, said: "The game will be difficult for us because clearly Palace had a poor performance and result last time out, and you would imagine without a doubt there will be a reaction from them.
"They are struggling a little bit for form and in a bad place - but actually I view it as probably the worst result for us because you know they will be better than they were last week.
"We have to be ready and make sure that we impose our game on them, and not vice versa."

Last week Ramadan Sobhi was playing in the Africa Cup of Nations final, this weekend he's back on the field in Stoke. The young Egyptian winger is the only change made by Mark Hughes from the defeat at West Brom, Ibrahim Afellay is the man who makes way.
Two changes for Palace boss Sam Allardyce from that shambolic 4-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers Sunderland last weekend.
Serbia midfielder Luka Milivojevic makes his Eagles debut, with Andros Townsend also recalled. Out go centre-back Scott Dann and midfielder Yohan Cabaye as Big Sam ditches the 3-4-3 formation and goes back to more-familiar back four.

It is absolutely pelting it down at the Brit. Rain drops bigger than new-born babies. And it is freezing too. The sort of afternoon where you go as a fan with about four layers on. And two pairs of socks.

Why wouldn't Palace have picked up the blower to Big Sam when he has a CV reading something like that?
But his proud record could be in danger. Palace are second bottom of the Premier League, with only Sunderland's inferior goal difference stopping them from propping up the rest.
Curriculum Vitae - Samuel Allardyce
I am an established Premier League manager with a proven track record of turning around a struggling team's fortunes.
Organisation, man-management and tactical innovation are my biggest strengths.
What I am most proud of during my 26-year management career is the fact I have never led a side to top-flight relegation.
