  1. 'Not the results we expected'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce: "I'm disappointed for the lads. They had many moments in the game when we were in control and none more so than when Stoke scored.

"They scored their only shot on target in the second half. It's a 1-0 defeat again and not the point that we deserve at least.

"We have to keep battling on and believing. These are an honest bunch of players. Last week was a fluke, we conceded three goals in three minutes.

"Today the overall performance was there but the result wasn't. It's a results business and we need them fast. I have got four new players and two weeks before our next game so it's a lot of work coming up.

"It's not been the results I expected. I thought it would have been easier for me to get the players to understand certain things. We all need to take more responsibility but we have to keep our chins up and graft away."

  2. 'A good team performance'published at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Sunderland 0-4 Southampton

    Southampton

Southampton manager Claude Puel: "Today, first of all, was about the clean sheet. We showed a very good spirit and attitude in a difficult game. A good team performance showing plenty of confidence and quality.

"Manolo Gabbiadini has goals in his first two games - he's a striker, a technical player of quality who can finish well. It's great for us, and as a team it's now important to continue this work."

  3. Man Utd's football was 'fabulous'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Man Utd 2-0 Watford

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to BBC Sport: "People sometimes forget that these teams like Watford and Stoke have very good players. I looked at this team and these players were in Italy when I was in Italy for Napoli, Inter, Lazio. These are top players.

"In the first half the football was fabulous. The fans got behind the team just before we scored the goal because we were phenomenal. When I got the job they were saying at Manchester United you need to play the football in a certain way and I agree. You cannot play a counterattacking style, but then you have to analyse the situation.

"Martial deserves the chance. He has worked harder than ever in the last two weeks in the way I like - silence but hard."

  4. 'Chelsea won't let it slip'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Manchester United 2-0 Watford

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: "We needed to win. Sixteen games unbeaten is an amazing record but it would be the perfect record with two or three fewer draws at home. It was a difficult match and a very important win for us.

"We are not a team scoring lots of goals so it is important to keep the clean sheets. I am really happy with performance.

"In the 10-15 minutes before the goal we were playing in a brilliant way. The goal had to come.

"I am so happy with the game between Liverpool and Tottenham later because I know someone will lose points.

"Chelsea are very good defensive team. They defend very well and with lots of players and I think in this situation a very defensive team wins the title with counterattack goals and set pieces goals so I don't think they will let it slip but football is football."

  5. Bilic ragingpublished at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    West Ham 2-2 West Brom

I've just seen a further replay of Slaven Bilic's reaction to that late, late West Brom equaliser.

Apoplectic just about covers it. He was raging, and I think he was sent off by the referee. He was furious with someone, calling them a disgrace on multiple occasions. Not sure who.

  6. 'A war of attrition'published at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Stoke City

Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "We'll be last on Match of the Day again won't we?

"It was a war of attrition at times, Palace came here and made life difficult for us. We had to be vigilant but we were always waiting for that breakthrough. We had four good opportunities before we scored."

  7. 'Gabbiadini's got a lot of quality'published at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Sunderland 0-4 Southampton

    Southampton

Southampton captain Steven Davis: "A massive result for us today, having been on a slippery slope and a lot of recent frustration. But all-in-all we deserved those three points.

"Manolo Gabbiadini's got a lot of quality and there's good competition for places."

  8. 'A hard-fought win'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Stoke City

Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "It was a hard-fought win I have to say. We needed that breakthrough and it was a great goal when it came.

"We always felt that we would see the game through to a conclusion once we went ahead, and we restricted Palace to very few opportunities.

"Joe Allen times his runs well, he has an aptitude for it and it was a great finish.

"We are not in bad shape overall, we are doing OK but now we have to navigate our way through some very difficult games."

  9. 'We didn't show up'published at 17:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Man Utd 2-0 Watford

    Watford

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes: "We didn't show up in the first half. Second half was much better, we competed with them but by then it was too late.

"We are disappointed but when we lose we lose together.

"We are still looking up the table because we have quality. When we show up we show we compete with anyone."

  10. Team news - Lucas in defencepublished at 16:59 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur (17:30 GMT)

Whichever way you look at this, it's not ideal for Liverpool. With Dejan Lovren injured and Ragnar Klavan only well enough for a place on the bench, Liverpool have to employ Lucas at centre-half.

The other change from the team beaten at Hull sees Emre Can move out of midfield for Georginio Wijnaldum.

No news is good news for Spurs. Though Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen remain out, they can still name the same team that beat Middlesbrough last weekend.

  11. 'We're better than our league position'published at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Sunderland 0-4 Southampton

    Southampton

Southampton goalscorer Shane Long: "Nice to get on the scoresheet when we needed to see the game out. The result is no more than we deserved.

"We haven't been playing badly but we've conceded sloppy goals. We're better than our league position, and hopefully now we can kick on."

  12. Whose goal?published at 16:58 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    West Ham 2-2 West Brom

A slight bit of confusion over who scored that West Brom equaliser with some awarding it to Gareth McAuley.

The two defenders went for the same header and Evans was the aggressor, though it may have nicked off the head of McAuley on the way in...

  13. 'We are going in the right direction'published at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Man Utd 2-0 Watford

    Manchester United

Manchester United goalscorer Juan Mata: "When you play good football and get the three points it is a step forward but we need to keep going. It was a convincing performance and we are very happy today.

"It started to feel like it was one of those games again. Their keeper saved every chance but then the goal came and after that it was more comfortable for us. We are going in the right direction.

"It is very, very difficult. First of all is to get into the top four. We have been winning games but not going higher in the table. We want to go higher and higher. We never know where we will finish."

GOAL - West Ham 2-2 West Brompublished at 16:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Jonny Evans

West Brom send the keeper up for a corner and they score! Darren Randolph is crowded out by his own defenders and Jonny Evans, on as a sub, powers in a header!

Slaven Bilic is livid, picking up a TV microphone and slamming it to the floor!

A win that was the very definition of routine.

  19. 'Is there a fire drill?'published at 16:51 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2017

    Man Utd 2-0 Watford

    Terry Butcher
Ex-England captain at Old Trafford for 5 live Sport

Paul Pogba and Juan Mata have been the two stand-out players today, by far.

But it's been a good all-round performance from Manchester United and the supporters know, because many of them are leaving. So many so, in fact, that the Watford supporters are singing: "Is there a fire drill?" But I think the home faithful are confident of the result.
