There will be a few raised eyebrows by the chasing five at the top of the table at this scoreline.

Burnley could have gone 2-1 up there, they have been very good for their money.

Burnley have Chelsea, not on the ropes but at least gasping for breath. Matt Lowton whips in a very good cross from the right which seems to be destined for the forehead of Ashley Barnes - but David Luiz clears superbly. Barnes was offside in the end but nobody knew that. Burnley pushing hard...

Nemanja Matic has been good all season though hasn't he?

Oh and there's a mistake by him! A poor header back towards Gary Cahill is picked up by Ashley Barnes, he finds Andre Gray via a mistake by David Luiz, but Gray's shot lacks conviction to be honest.

    A very good opening!

It was only a matter of time before Matic's clumsiness let us down. N'Golo Kan't cover for his mistakes forever (pun not entirely intended)

The sun is out, I can report. Sun and light snow, a classic winter combo.

Robbie Brady's goal was superb in that first half, but his former club Norwich scored two even better yesterday. Check out Wes Hoolahan and Jonny Howson's goals if you can.

Johnny Magrinho: Turf Moor is becoming a fortress. I don't think there's a single team in the league that relish playing Burnley away right now.

If it stays like this then Chelsea will have a 10-point cushion at the top of the Premier League, while Burnley will move above Watford and into 12th.

What a let down in the Scottish Cup. The two rivals must now do it all over again.

The Premier League leaders may have hogged the ball, as our graphic below shows, but they haven't created more chances than Burnley.

Both sides have created what I would call four chances apiece, although Matt Lowton will feel he should have beaten Thibaut Courtois. Tight.

It seems like Burnley have worked out the system. In the first 10 or 15 minutes they really struggled - Chelsea cause all kinds of problems.

Since then, a lot has been self-induced from Chelsea with sloppy passing encouraging Burnley onto the front foot and the home side have done.

Burnley have got into the final third on a good few occasions and are unlucky not to be 2-1 up going into the second half.

Diego Costa and referee Kevin Friend are in almost constant contact, not sure what the issues are there. Burnley will be delighted to get back in on level terms at the break.

Chelsea have dominated possession but are not really troubling Burnley in the final third. They've had just four touches inside the box (right graphic) compared to six for Burnley (left graphic). Diego Costa, in particular, has been very quiet. He's had one touch of the ball in the Burnley area.

Victor Moses remains a real influence on the game and his cross from the right finds Diego Costa, who manages to bring the ball down on his chest and get a shot away - but it's well blocked.

George Boyd now has a drive bravely blocked by the diving Gary Cahill. End-to-end stuff.

This is a great game now! First, Burnley are close to going ahead when Joey Barton threads the needle to send in Matt Lowton on goal from right-back. A peach of a pass, dead weight, and Lowton hits a shot directly at Thibaut Courtois, whose face is glowing red in the Lancashire chill.

Then Chelsea counter at real pace, Eden Hazard drives into the space and really should cross for Diego Costa but takes a touch too many and it's cleared...

We all expected Burnley to test Chelsea this afternoon and they certainly are so far. The reaction to falling behind so early on has been admirable.

Antonio Conte is out barking orders to his team, who are yet to regain that early fluency.
