  1. Goals in League Onepublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2017

That 7,000-plus crowd at Oldham has finally been rewarded as Paul Green has fired the Latics in front from the penalty spot after some grappling in the Peterborough box.

It's also going very wrong for Sheffield United where Devante Cole, son of former Manchester United striker Andrew, has doubled Fleetwood's lead.

After six straight wins, it looks like Chris Wilder's Blades are going three without a win.

Reading awarded a debatable penalty which led to the opening goal in this one, but Roy Beerens' finish on the rebound has really kicked them into life at the start of this second half.

John Swift, the man whose spot kick was saved, almost found his way in for a second goal only for Tomas Kalas to slide in with a last-ditch tackle to deny him.

Great start to the second half.

    Brighton 0-0 Cardiff

Just before that penalty at Reading, Brighton had almost got on the scoresheet in their game with Cardiff.

Anthony Knockaert's free-kick picked out Shane Duffy in the box, but Duffy's glancing header was a whisker off target.

Fulham are furious, but Reading are awarded a penalty as the referee spots a push on Liam Moore, who goes down in the box.

John Swift's spot-kick is straight down the middle and saved by David Button's legs, but Roy Beerens fires in the rebound.

    Reading 0-0 Fulham

The teams are back out at the Madejski Stadium, where Fulham have made a half-time substitution.

Michael Madl, who was hurt in a clash of heads early in the first-half, has not taken back to the field, with Lucas Piazon on in his place.

Piazon had a loan spell at Reading last season - could he come back to haunt his old team tonight?

    Brighton 0-0 Cardiff

Nearly an hour gone, and Brighton continue to be frustrated by Cardiff, who are a much improved team under Neil Warnock.

The Seagulls do muster up their second shot on target, but Tomer Hemed's shot was tamely struck and far too close to Allan McGregor.

How long until Brighton boss Chris Hughton looks to make a change up front?

  8. Oldham go closepublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2017

It's been a bright start to the second half for Oldham against Peterborough but they're yet to get a reward.

Peter Clarke has had a header cleared off the line for the Latics, while Anthony Gerrard has had a penalty appeal waved away.

And at Bramall Lane, Billy Sharp has seen an effort diverted wide as League One leaders Sheffield United chase an equaliser at home to Fleetwood.

    Brighton should be in front.

Solly March delivers another tempting cross into the Cardiff box and straight into the path of Tomer Hemed, but the striker makes poor contact and can't divert the ball into the net.

Anthony Knockaert was waiting just behind him for an easy finish as well. A huge let-off for Cardiff.

    Brighton 0-0 Cardiff

No opportunities in this second half so far, and Brighton might want to think about pressing forward sooner than later given how Cardiff have performed late in games.

Anthony Knockaert swings a corner into the box for the hosts, but the referee says there was a foul on Cardiff keeper Allan McGregor and the chance goes to waste.

It's all been about possession, possession, possession where Jaap Stam's Reading have been concerned this season, but this first half has been anything but characteristic from the hosts.

At times, the tactics have resembled more of a counter-attack strategy with midfielder Liam Kelly as the fulcrum for injecting pace into their play.

Fulham, to their credit, have been wise to the shift change and are trying to match the thinking.

But, as the old adage goes, this game needs a goal.

It's goalless at half-time in the later kick-off as well, and I don't think either side could have many complaints with that.

They're about to restart at Brighton, with no changes being made by either side.

    Reading 0-0 Fulham

Roy Beerens involved again, this time stinging David Button's palms with a low shot towards the near post.

There haven't been too many openings in the first half, but that was a very smart stop by the Fulham keeper.

    Reading 0-0 Fulham

Reading winger Roy Beerens shows good footwork to make a little bit of space before digging a cross into the box.

John Swift meets it with his head, but he's some way out from goal and has to try to generate a lot of power to test keeper David Button.

Too much power as it turns out, with the ball sailing over the crossbar. Only a couple of minutes left in the half now.

This game was 0-0 at half-time at the first time of asking before it was abandoned. To me it seems as it would be justice if it's 0-0 at half-time tonight too.

Stefan Johansen breaks forward with the ball, with plenty of space ahead of him.

Unfortunately, his shot is all power and no accuracy, as he blazes far over Ali Al-Habsi's goal.

  17. HALF-TIME: Brighton 0-0 Cardiffpublished at 20:37 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2017

It's still goalless at half-time, but there's been plenty of chances at both ends.

Newcastle will still be top of the table if Brighton can't improve and find at least one goal after the break.

  18. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2017

    Reading 0-0 Fulham

Reading captain Paul McShane has been heavily involved in the past 10 minutes or so, with a header blocked wide and a saving challenge to stop a Fulham cross.

He won't be too proud of his latest contribution, sliding in late for a challenge and seeing his name go into the referee's book.

Sone Aluko takes the free-kick quickly for Fulham, but fires over the bar.

It's half-time in both our games in League One.

As it stands, leaders Sheffield United's mini-blip is set to continue into a third game without a win as they trail Fleetwood courtesy of Conor McLaughlin's goal.

It might have been free admission at Oldham, but those fans who have turned up are yet to see a goal as they are still goalless with Peterborough.

In the EFL Trophy, Mansfield lead Wycombe thanks to Matt Green's penalty but tonight's other quarter-final between Swansea and Coventry remains goalless.

Into three minutes of added time at Brighton, though that may be nearer to four or five minutes as Junior Hoilett gets treatment to a foot injury.

The winger looks okay to carry on, jogging off the pitch with a bit of help from the physio.
